2013 OCONOMOWOC GRIDIRON CAMP FOOTBALL FUNDAMENTALS & TECHNIQUES FOR STUDENTS ENTERING 9TH, 10TH, 11TH, & 12TH GRADES July 22, 23, 24, 25 (M, T, W, R) 5:30PM - 8:30PM Oconomowoc High School

CAMP COORDINATOR: COACH MCMILLEN FOCUS OF THE CAMP: The camp will be four days of non-contact, position specific football technique training. Our goal is to make you a better player and person. You will learn the same techniques and fundamentals that will be used in our football program. Pride, Discipline, Attitude, and Team, are the cornerstones of the Oconomowoc Football Program. These are qualities that we will emphasize every day! BELIEVE – COMMIT – ACHIEVE!! POSITION CHOICES: OFFENSE (QB): stance, exchange, drop back, and play action passing, setup, throwing release, follow through, reading defenses. RUNNING BACKS (RB): stance, release, handling, faking, cutting, blocking and pass receiving. WIDE RECEIVERS (WR): stance, release, route technique, catching, open field running and blocking. TIGHT ENDS (TE): stance, release, run and pass blocking, route technique and catching. OFFENSIVE LINE (OL): stance, run blocking techniques, pass blocking techniques. DEFENSE DEFENSIVE LINE (DL): stance, keys, reaction, run defense, pass defense, and pass techniques. OUTSIDE (OLB): stance, keys, reactions, run defense, pass defense, pass drops, and rush techniques. INSIDE LINEBACKERS (ILB): stance, keys, reactions, pass defense and run defense, pass drops, and rush techniques. DEFENSIVE SECONDARY (DB): stance, all phases of coverage, release, how and when to intercept, deflections, man to man & zone coverage techniques.

Equipment: Participants will be expected to come to each session dressed in appropriate attire, including athletic supporter, sweat socks, football-type shoes, T- shirt or sweatshirt, and athletic shorts or sweat pants. Mouth guards will be provided and must be worn. Any eyeglasses worn in practice must be unbreakable in accordance with WIAA safety rules. Although this is a skills camp, we may be issuing helmets but no other pads.
