Following on from Planning Policy Statement 25 (PPS25): 'Development and Flood Risk' in December 2006, the Environment Agency (EA) has provided updated Flood Risk Standing Advice (FRSA). The updated advice reflects policy contained within PPS25 and the EA role as a statutory consultee on flood risk matters. This seminar will bring this advice along with current practice up to the minute and add a planning policy perspective, a focus on Environmental Impact Assessment, the importance of FRA and environmental impact in the planning process and an e ngineering perspective, focusing on the Sanderson’s approach to these matters;

Direct line services exist from Huddersfield to Leeds City Centre, approximate car journey time to/from Huddersfield Station is 20-25 minutes.

Direct line services exist from Kingsgate to London, approximate car journey time to/from Wakefield Kingsgate station is 25 to 30 minutes. By Bus

A bus stop exists off Liley Lane (B6118) opposite Jubilee Business Park. It is served by service number 242, the 'Grange Moor circular', operating from Huddersfield bus station out of stand G. Average travel time, by bus, from Huddersfield Bus Station to Liley Lane is 35 minutes.

Several other services exist that serve the Wakefield and Flockton areas and travel along Wakefield Road, a 2 minute walk to our offices. By Plane

Manchester Airport is to the West of Huddersfield, approximate car journey time is 50 to 60 minutes.

From M62 1. Leave the M62 at junction 25 (signposted Brighouse, Huddersfield), then at roundabout take the exit on to the A644 (signposted ) 2. At Cooper Bridge Roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the A62 (signposted Huddersfield) 3. At traffic signals turn left on to 'Bridge Road' - B6118 (signposted ) 4. At roundabout take the 2nd exit on to Bridge Road - B6118 5. Continue Forward on to Moor Top Road - B6118 6. Continue Forward on to Liley Lane - B6118 7. Turn Left in to Jubilee Way 8. Sanderson House can be seen on your right hand side.

From M1 Heading South 1. M1 exit junction 39 (sign posted Wakefield), at Cedar Court Roundabout exit on to the A6363 (signposted ) 2. At roundabout take the 3rd exit on to the A637 (sign posted Huddersfield) 3. Bear left on to Barnsley Road - A637 continue through Flockton 4. At Grange Moor Roundabout take the 2nd exit on to Liley Lane B6118 (signposted Brighouse) 5. Turn right in to Jubilee Way 6. Sanderson House can be seen on your right hand side.

From M1 Heading North 1. M1 exit junction 38, (signposted Huddersfield), at Haigh Roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the A637 (signposted Huddersfield) 2. At roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the A637 (signposted Huddersfield) 3. Continue forward on to Huddersfield Road A637 and continue through West Bretton 4. At roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the A637 (signposted Huddersfield) 5. Bear left on to Barnsley Road - A637 continue through Flockton 6. At Grange Moor Roundabout take the 2nd exit on to Liley Lane B6118 (signposted Brighouse) 7. Turn right in to Jubilee Way 8. Sanderson House can be seen on your right hand side.

Please note Sanderson House is located at Grange Moor, in a very rural location on the moors between Huddersfield and Wakefield. Please continue to follow directions until you arrive at Sanderson House/Grange Moor Roundabout.
