Route 66 interpreted by The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones is the debut album of the Rolling Stones, released by Decca Records in the UK on 16 April 1964. The American edition of the LP, with a slightly different track list, came out on London Records on 30 May 1964, with the added title England's Newest Hit Makers. This album includes only three original compositions, together with classics such as the standard of jazz-swing Route 66, Chuck Berry's rock Carol and blues such as Honest I Do by Jimmy Reed ,I' m A King Bee by Slim Harpo or I Need You Baby ( Mona) by Bo Diddley. Listen to the song twice (three times at the most) and make a list of the towns mentioned in the lyrics. Then open Google Maps and draw the legendary route 66. How to create a map with Google Maps? The prerequisite: you need to create a Google account. Go to the following website: http://maps.google.com then you will need to log in thanks to your Google account. Once you have done it, click on "Mes adresses", "Mes Cartes", then "Créer une nouvelle carte" Give a name to your map. 3 tools: - The hand is used to move the map. - "The bubble" can be used to position a desired point. - "The line" can be used to position a layout. Click on the appropriate button, then click on the map to locate the point or the layout. When your first point is located, a bubble will be opening up for you to give pieces of information to the Internet user who will find them when he clicks on the point. A line focuses on a route moving on a map. Click on the icon "Ligne" then on "Tracer une ligne " in the drop-down menu. Move your cursor to the place you want in order to draw the line. Carry on clicking with the left mouse button to place the points which will compose your line. Set the line end by double-clicking on the left mouse button. The “Tracer une ligne le long des routes" option allows you to lay out curved roads which follow the existing ones. You can also insert some hypertext links or place short coloured texts into the interface "texte enrichi". Create as many points as you need, then click on "Enregistrer" and eventually on "terminer" when your map is finished! .
