PBC NEWSLETTER 14 January 2011 A REMINDER ABOUT WINTER WEATHER COMMUNICATION PLANS As we face colder temperatures and forecasts with occasional snow, the possibility increases for the delay or closing of school. During the winter months Transportation Director Mike McCloud and Superintendent Joe Tinius keep a close watch on the weather. If there is a possibility for precipitation, they are up during the early morning hours checking road conditions, listening to forecasts, and communicating with surrounding districts. Their cooperative efforts determine if the roads are safe for our students and employees. If the decision is made to delay or close school, our district will make every effort to notify parents, guardians and employees as soon as possible by utilizing local media outlets and AlertNow (via email).
