LG Summer Camp 2012  Camps will fill quickly, so apply soon!  Older siblings, alumni, & friends are welcome to apply, as well! *NOTE: Camps are open to a variety of ages!!

Week 1: May 29-June 1, 9:00-1:30 (NOTE- this camp is Tue.-Fri. but the hours have been extended) 1. “Oh, The Places We’ll Go” Transportation Camp (all ages, Bear Room) a. Instructors: Dresden Farmer & Kristin Baker b. Description: From cars to trains to princess carriages, join us as we “transport” our way through a wonderful week with “wheels and squeals” of delight! 2. “NO Batteries! NO Plugs! Pure FUN” Camp, (all ages, Dragonfly Room) a. Instructors: Wendy Miller & Cindy Matthews b. Description: Remember an age before video games, tv, and Jumpin’ Jimmys?! A world of imagination, art and music! Join us for a week of discovery, exploration and pure honest fun and games. We’ll get messy and physical and creative and quiet. A great way to never hear the words, “I’m bored,” again!! 3. “Star Struck TV” Camp, (ages 4 and up, Monkey Room) a. Instructors: Krissi Sanford & Jill Dixon b. Description: Come surf the channels with us as we use our imaginations and “pop” in on the Wizards of Waverly Place, hang out with Carly and the crew from I Carly, “swim” with Sponge Bob and all his fishy friends, and have a “rockin’” time with Big Time Rush. 4. “Beautiful Earth Nature Rocks” Camp, (all ages, Owl Room) a. Instructors: Lauren Watkins & Jill Day b. Description: This camp will introduce students to the planet Earth. We will learn about the features, weather, animals, and people who cohabitate on our beautiful planet. Crafts, songs, nature walks, recycling projects, planting fun, and more! 5. “Little Grace’s Next Great Baker” Camp, (all ages, Turtle Room) a. Instructors: Amy Wright & Abby Santee b. Description: We will fill up our tummies as we cook our way through books each day. Join us as we design our own aprons and placemats, learn about a “rainbow of foods”, and make delicious foods such as pizza, ice cream, and other summer fun treats. And don’t forget the cookie and cake decorating fun!! 6. “How to be a Proper Princess” Camp, (all ages, Honeybee Class) a. Instructors: Judi Fossett & Kim Hall b. Description: Spend a week with Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Belle. Take a ride on a magic carpet with Jasmine. So many princesses and so little time! We will dress, eat, walk, talk, and have fun like a princess all week long! And don’t miss out on our end of the week “Princess Tea Party & Ball.”

Week 2: June 4-8; 9:15-1:00 1. “Pirates, Pixies and Fair Maidens Ahoy” Camp, (all ages, Bear Room) a. Instructors: Dresden Farmer & Kristin Baker b. Description: We’re looking for pirates, fair maidens and fairies to join us for a week at sea! Climb aboard our ship and learn all about how it was to live on the open waters and in the enchanted forest. We are looking forward to lots of “Yo Ho Ho” Fun! 2. “Sounds of Music” Camp, (all ages, Owl Room) a. Instructors: Lauren Watkins & Jill Day b. Description: This camp will allow students to grow musically while applying gross and fine motor skills as well as listening and math skills through patterns and counting beats. Not only will the students be listening to music, playing instruments, and dancing, they will also be engaging those skills they have been working and progressing with during regular school hours. 3. “Day Spa” Camp, (all ages, Turtle Room) a. Instructors: Amy Wright & Abby Santee b. Description: Nails, hair, dress ups galore... Join us as we learn manners and etiquette while pampering ourselves and having FUN! 4. “READY, SET...BOUNCE” Camp (4-8 year olds, outside and parish hall) a. Instructors: Heidi Hopkins & Noah Portugal b. Description: We will focus on social and motor skills using balance, rhythm, music, balls, hoops, parachute, obstacles, and MOONBOUNCES. 5. “Bob the Builder” Construction Camp, (all ages, Honeybee Room) a. Instructor: Judi Fossett & Kim Hall b. Description: Sanding, screwing and gluing will be part of our days’ work. Hammering and sawing will be music to our ears. Paint will be on our hands, hard hats on our heads. Strap on your tool belts and come dressed for messy play! Each builder will come home with a wooden hand built treasure for years to come.

Week 3: June 11-15, 9:15-1:00 1. “Where The Wild Things Are” Monster Camp, (all ages, Honeybee Room) a. Instructors: Judi Fossett & Kim Hall b. Description: At Monster Camp we will be learning about real monsters (interesting “monsters” in nature) and friendly, pretend monsters. Our week will include monster math, monster crafts, monster snacks, and will end with a real monster bash! 2. “Camping In My Backyard” Camp, (all ages- great for alumni and siblings) a. Instructors: Amy Wright & Dresden Farmer b. Description: Grab your hiking boots and sense of adventure as we make binoculars, backpacks, walking sticks and more to explore the great outdoors. “S’more” fun than you can imagine! 3. “Outer Space” Camp, (all ages- great for alumni and siblings) a. Instructors: Heidi Hopkins & Noah Portugal b. Description: What is beyond the sky? How big is the sun? Is the moon made of cheese? Can you jump over the moon? Are we the only planet in the Universe? Find out the answers to these questions and more during Space Week! Let’s moon bounce, space walk, build our own rocket ships, eat ice cream on the moon, and have some “out of this world” fun!

Week 4: June 18-22, 9:15-1:00 1. “Too Messy For Home” Camp, (all ages- great for alumni and siblings) a. Instructors: Judi Fossett & Kim Hall b. Description: Ever wonder how to make a hot air balloon or a spark in the dark? Want to see a BIG explosion that mom won’t have to clean up at home. We will blend art and science together as we have some good, old fashioned “messy” time fun! 2. “Super Soaker” Camp, (all ages- great for alumni and siblings) a. Instructors: Heidi Hopkins & Noah Portugal b. Description: Sink or float, make a boat, Water Pokey- it’s a different breed, how far can you spit a watermelon seed? Water slide and relay fun, what a way to beat the summer sun!

July Camps: LG Summer Bucket List Camps, 9:15-1:00 1. “LG Summer Bucket List” Camps: True Summer Fun! Where a Kid Can Be a Kid (and maintain routines and friendships) Join us as we check off our “bucket list” of summer fun… from building forts and making obstacle courses to telling jokes and log rolling in the grass… we have a 100 things on our list to have some pure summer fun! A. Drop in for a day or for the week, $90/week or $35/day B. ALL Ages Welcome! C. Instructors Vary : Amy Wright, Dresden Farmer, Kristin Baker, Heidi Hopkins, Judi Fossett D. Dates:  July 10-12, 9:15-1:00  July 17-19, 9:15-1:00 *This week will actually be from July 16-21 and be Vacation Bible School!! Theme to be announced…  July 24-26, 9:15-1:00  July 31-Aug. 2, 9:15-1:00

July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8, 15 9:30-10:30 1. “Growing Graces” Parent-Child Classes for two and three year olds (COST: $100 for all 6 sessions or $20 per class) a. Instructors: Amy Wright and Dresden Farmer b. Description: This 6 session parent-child class is designed to encourage basic developmental skills in toddlers and to ease the transition to school for those attending LG for the first time in the fall. Each class will include activities to develop fine, gross motor skills, and social skills. Activities include songs, movement, crafts, stories, snack and more. A parent or other adult accompanies the child during the class.

LG Summer Camp Details Registration Deadline: Please return registrations a.s.a.p. so we can plan and purchase materials for the camps, classes filled in the order registrations received.

Cost:  $140 per week for June Theme Camps, non-refundable  $100 for all 6 “Growing Graces” Parent-Child Classes (or $20 per class), non-refundable  $90 per week for “Summer Bucket List” Camps in July (or $35/day), non-refundable

Please make checks payable to “Little Graces Preschool”. Camp fees can be refunded minus a $75 deposit up until one week prior to the start of camp. Camp fees are non-refundable after April 1 (unless we cancel due to low enrollment, if this is the case another camp will be offered or your money will be refunded). Students who miss camp due to an illness will be sent home craft supplies and materials from the camp.

Kids To Bring:  Bring snack daily; bring lunch daily; wear sunscreen (we can’t apply sunscreen to your child so you must apply it prior to the start of the day)  bring a white t-shirt on first day of June Theme Camps ONLY; do not need for July Summer Bucket List Camps
