Several agreements in place (Beijing: green economy, welfare, education; Shang- hai: economy, trade, cultural exchanges, research) 6 www.assorestauro.org _ Presentation of “Assorestauro” Assorestauro is the first association established in Italy for materials, equipment and tech- nology producers and service providers for the restoration and heritage conservation sector. Among the associations involved in this sector, which includes various institutional bodies that represent designers or restorers, ASSORESTAURO is the first to finally give voice to the industry and the sector of specialised services, promoting their interests in promotional, legal and cultural areas. ASSORESTAURO seeks to represent the sector, both nationally and internationally. In re- gard to the Italian market, an increased sensitivity towards our architectural heritage, to- gether with the diffusion of new technologies, point to a growth in the sector in recent years, both from the cultural point of view (debates, magazines, conventions, exhibitions) and from that of technology (innovative materials, machines and equipment, software, plant design etc.). This provides the industry with a great opportunity for increasing and strengthening the occasions for dialogue, which are often lacking, with professionals, on the one hand, and with institutions (Government departments, Universities) on the other. As far as foreign markets are concerned, there is a clear perception of the need to capitalise on the great prestige that Italy enjoys abroad in matters of cultural heritage and on the remarkable investment in cultural technology that Italian companies have made in recent years, in order to translate specialist skills and know how into business opportunities abroad. ASSORESTAURO therefore has the scope of coordinating, protecting and promoting the interests of its associated companies, and fostering their progress and development, endors- ing their products and services and representing them in their relations with the institutions and organisations working in the field of research and training, regulations and promotion. La modifica di norme di legge aventi efficacia imperativa nella materia disciplinata dal presente Regolamento determinerà la disapplicazione delle norme regolamentari che risultassero in loro immediato contrasto. 4. Sono oggetto del presente Regolamento: a) le misure per assicurare la tutela igienico-sanitaria in tutte le fasi della gestione dei rifiuti urbani; b) le modalità organizzative dei servizi di conferimento, raccolta e trasporto dei rifiuti urbani; c) le modalità del conferimento, della raccolta differenziata e del trasporto dei rifiuti urbani ed assimilati al fine di garantire una distinta gestione delle diverse frazioni di rifiuti e promuovere il recupero degli stessi; d) le norme atte a garantire una distinta ed adeguata gestione dei rifiuti urbani pericolosi e dei rifiuti cimiteriali; e) l’assimilazione, per qualità e quantità, dei rifiuti speciali non pericolosi ai rifiuti urbani ai fini della raccolta e dello smaltimento sulla base di quanto disposto dalla normativa nazionale; f) il regime sanzionatorio per le infrazioni al presente Regolamento.

    PRESS RELEASE FAI Spring Days: Donnafugata’s Pantellerian Garden opens to the public Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 the Donnafugata Pantellerian Garden will be open to the public for the “Spring Days” held by the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano, The Italian Trust – www.fondoambiente.it). The giardino pantesco – which Donnafugata donated to the FAI last year – stands among the Pantelleria vineyards that are the birthplace of the prestigious Ben Ryé passito (raisin wine) and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The guided tours will depart from the Donnafugata winery in the Khamma district and include the vineyards and cellar as well as a special tasting of the winery’s products. With the “Giornate di Primavera” – now in their 17th edition – the FAI’s primary aim has been to call attention to the abandoned state of a great many prize assets of the so-called minor Italy. And it is thanks to the FAI and its delegations across the country that public awareness has grown through the years and that many of these jewels have been recuperated and restored to society. Italy is one great open-air museum and we often forget this. To make us more conscious of it, and look at Italy with newer eyes, the FAI created this special occasion that is repeated each year in the first weekend of spring. More than ever this year the FAI is uniting the Bel Paese from north to south: from the Valtellina to Pantelleria, island of sun and wind where Donnafugata is involved in a project of heroic viticulture aimed at excellence and that sees in the Pantellerian garden the symbol – together with growing vines bush-like on terraced land – of an agriculture to defend and promote.
