European Girls' Team Championship in 2021, After the Great Success of Last Year’S European Amateur Team Championship European Girls’ Team Championship Hilversumsche Golf Club | July 6-10, 2021 The European Golf Association, together with the Royal Netherlands Golf Federation and the Hilversumsche Golf Club, is greatly honored to welcome you to this year’s European Girls’ Team Championship. Welcome messages EGA President’s message It is my privilege and honour to welcome all Competitors, Captains and Officials to the European Girls’ Team Championship. We are most grateful to the Royal Netherlands Golf Federation and to Hilversumsche Golf Club for organising the event and hosting us all. My thanks go to all the officials, staff and volunteers who work so hard to make this tournament so enjoyable for everyone. I am sure that all competitors will enjoy this beautiful venue. This event will be another opportunity for great golf, where some of Europe’s most talented amateur golfers come together to compete at the highest level of team golf in friendly rivalry. My best wishes to the teams, officials and supporters. Play well, enjoy yourselves and I hope that you will all get the chance to make new friendships, which may well last a lifetime. Haukur Örn BIRGISSON President European Golf Association Royal Netherlands Golf Federation President’s message As President of The Royal Netherlands Golf Federation, it is once again a great honor and privilege to welcome all players, captains and officials to the Hilversumsche Golf Club, a top-class golf course in the heart of The Netherlands. With approximately 385,000 registered golfers in The Netherlands and 220 golf courses, golf is the number four sport in the country. The Royal Netherlands Golf Federation is very proud that we are hosting the European Girls' Team Championship in 2021, after the great success of last year’s European Amateur Team Championship. Our ambition for the coming years is to host an EGA event every 2 to 3 years. Founded in 1895 the Hilversumsche Golf Club is one of the most distinguished golf clubs in The Netherlands. It is a heathland course with a rich history. This delightful course, which winds its way through the woods and forest, has - next to last year’s EGA Championship- hosted among others 27 Dutch Opens (European Tour events). We are confident that the girls will find the course as challenging as the men do! We wish all participating players, captains and officials the best of luck. Have fun and enjoy your stay in The Netherlands. Caroline Huyskes President The Royal Netherlands Golf Federation Hilversumsche Golf Club President’s message Dear Participant, It is a great honour to welcome you on behalf of all our members to the Hilversumsche Golf Club for the European Girls Team Championship 2021. The Hilversumsche Golf Club is a members’ club founded in 1895. The course you will play has parts of it designed by Henry Burrows (1918), but the lasting influence is that of Henry Colt when extended to 18 holes in 1928. Although the course has been updated, modernized end lengthened several times by Kyle Philips and in more recent years by architect Michiel van der Vaart, all changes were made by respecting the original design. There are various “signature holes” but most often the one singled out is The Pancake; a very short but testing par three, which you play as the 5th and the members as the 14th. Hitting the middle of the green seems to be the prudent shot. The classic design is recognised throughout the whole lay-out. The first part of the year 2021 still carries the weight of many of the Covid 19 restrictions but since 2020 we have learned to cope with many of them and continue to offer a good golf challenge for the young talents of the European golf nations. After an unusual weather pattern, high temperatures in March while April offered freezing cold and snowy days, we are proud to offer you the course which by June should be in a good playing condition. You will play the course in the major tournaments routing, whereby the final holes wind around the clubhouse. This offers those who are allowed to watch and support the teams to closely monitor the final stages of the competition. Our member-volunteers and especially the organising committee and our greenkeeping staff have worked hard to make your stay at the Hilversumsche Golf Club such that you can concentrate on your game. With 27 Dutch Open Championships having been played at our course, we pride ourselves on the course, a smooth organisation, a welcoming membership and Clubhouse staff. Most of all, we are looking forward to great golf by the best young talents of Europe who will battle for the best results in a very competitive field on our beloved course. We aim to provide the best playing field for this event and are confident that the best may win. We wish all participants a great tournament and success. Pieter Croockewit Huib Klaarenbeek President Chair Organizing Committee Hilversumsche Golf Club Hilversumsche Golf Club Hilversumsche Golf Club – the course Shelters In case of bad weather different shelters are located throughout the course. You will find them on the map above identified with an umbrella. Water taps At the course there are 3 water points: 1. Club house 2. Right of 3rd green 3. Pro Golf Tour – Press release 2021 season preview 17 February 2021 Six countries in six months: Pro Golf Tour presents calendar with 14 tournaments Egypt and Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and the Netherlands: they are the stages on the 2021 Pro Golf Tour with 14 Order of Merit tournaments on the sea- son calendar at the moment. Between 13 April and 6 October, the Pro Golf Tour play- ers will compete for a total of more than 450,000 euro in prize money and for a possible promotion to the 2022 Challenge Tour. Diedorf/Germany – The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect the Pro Golf Tour in 2021, making for a comparatively late start to the season. The Red Sea Egyptian Clas- sic at the Ain Sokhna Golf Club from 13-15 April will be the first competition for the win- ner’s trophy and the first Order of Merit points of the year; the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Classic will be held at the same venue from 18-20 April. Both tournaments are en- dowed with prize money of 30,000 euro each, and the members of the Pro Golf Tour can lay the foundation for a successful 2021 tournament season here. A season that will continue in Austria at the end of April when the players tee off at the Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria from 28 to 30 April. Resort owner Hans Geist and his team welcome the professionals again to the European opener of the Pro Golf Tour.

The next step will be the Polish Open 2020 at the Gradi Golf Club in Prusice in Poland, now scheduled for 29 to 31 July. Diedorf – “We are very happy to finally have good news about the rest of the Pro Golf Tour 2020 season,” says Peter Zäh, the managing director of the Pro Golf Tour. “We will probably be able to hold seven more Order of Merit tournaments this year, which means that in this year marked by corona, 13 of the originally planned 20 tournaments will end up in the Pro Golf Tour books.” The Polish Open 2020 at the Gradi Golf Club in Poland, which was postponed to 29 to 31 July, marks the start of the season’s continuation. The defending champion there is the Czech Ondrej Lieser, who won the title last year with 19 under par and a record margin of seven strokes, after three rounds on the par-70 course. The players will then compete at the Raiffeisen Pro Golf Tour St. Pölten at the GC St. Pölten in Austria from 4 to 6 August; in 2019, the later overall winner of the Pro Golf Tour, the German Hurly Long, celebrated his first tournament victory there.
