Warlords of Atlantis on Talking Pictures TV Stars: Doug McClure, Peter Gilmore, Cyd Charisse, Daniel Massey, Shane Rimmer, Lea Brodie, Michael Gothard, Hal Galili and John Ratzenberger. The fourth action-fantasy collaboration between Kevin Connor and Doug McClure was made in 1978 and written by Brian Hayles, a script writer for Doctor Who and, among others, Public Eye. This is a perilous, nautical tale of mutiny, murder, hidden treasure, giant sea monsters and lost worlds. Doug McClure plays the clean-cut Hollywood hero who discovers the fabled city (ruled by Cyd Charisse and Daniel Massey) and its monstrous menagerie of sea beasts – including a giant octopus.
