Directions for Applying for Accommodations for SAT, AP & ACT SAT, SAT SUBJECT TESTS, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10 OR Advanced Placement Exams Before students with disabilities can take the SAT, SAT Subject Tests, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, or Advanced Placement® Exams with accommodations — such as extended time or the use of a computer — their request for accommodations must be approved by College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). If you choose to have WPHS file on your child’s behalf, you will need to fill out the Parent Consent Form that can be found in the Forms section of the College Board website. This needs to be completed and returned to Ms. Ulmer in the Guidance Department. You may also choose to file on your own, and the appropriate directions can be found on the College Board website. Both filing options are acceptable ways of requesting accommodations. https://www.collegeboard.org/students‐with‐disabilities/request‐ accommodations The ACT If you currently receive accommodations in school due to a professionally diagnosed and documented disability, you may submit documentation to support a request for the ACT. These applications can be found at the ACT website that is listed below. Once you have completed the application, you may submit the application to Ms. Weeks in the Guidance Department. The portion of the application that is filled out by WPHS will be completed and returned to your student for you to mail. http://www.actstudent.org/regist/disab/ Please be advised, that applying for accommodations can take upwards of 7 weeks. All accommodations granted are strictly the decision of College Board and ACT. WPHS has no bearing in these decisions. Once filed, all correspondence from College Board or ACT goes directly to the parent. Please put a current email address on your application or consent request. .
