Current New Route Route and details of proposed changes Route Number Number The One The One New fast express service introduced between Drumchapel, Scotstoun and the City Centre. 1/1A/1B 1/1A/1B 1 – Balloch – Dumbarton – Clydebank – Scotstoun – Expressway – City Centre 1 – Helensburgh – Dumbarton – Clydebank – Scotstoun – Expressway – City Centre 1 – Drumchapel – Garscadden – Scotstoun – Expressway – City Centre 1A – Balloch – Dumbarton – Clydebank – Scotstoun – Expressway – City Centre 1B – Balloch – Bonhill – Bellsmyre – Clydebank – Scotstoun – Expressway – City Centre The One already provides a fast and frequent link from the Dumbarton area to the City Centre via Clydebank and Scotstoun. To further improve this service, a new additional variant will be introduced between Drumchapel and the City Centre. Buses will start at Drumchapel (Lillyburn Place) and will then operate via Achamore Road, Kinfauns Drive, Duntreath Avenue, Alderman Road, Polnoon Avenue, Cairntoul Drive and Anniesland Road where it will then join the exiting One to the City Centre via Clydeside Expressway. Journeys that operate to or from Drumchapel will display route number 1 – Drumchapel or City Centre and will operate every 20 minutes daytime and every 30 minutes in the evenings. The current timetable of The One will be slightly revised, with additional 1A journeys serving Bellsmyre introduced during Monday to Friday peak periods. With this additional service being introduced there will be a One every 2 or 3 minutes during peak periods, approximately every 5 minutes during off-peak periods and every 15 minutes in the evening. 2 M2 M2 – Toryglen Asda – Rutherglen – Spittal – Croftfoot Service renumbered to operate as service M2 but no change to route or timetable. 3 M3 M3 – Milton – Stobhill Hospital – Springburn – Possilpark – City Centre Service renumbered to operate as service M3 and slightly revised timetable introduced. Certain early Saturday morning journeys will no longer be provided by First. SimpliCITY Combined with service 4 and 6 to provide journey every few minutes between Battlefield, Victoria Road and City Centre during the day. 5 5 5 – Castlemilk – Croftfoot – Battlefield – Victoria Road – City Centre (SimpliCITY) Slightly revised timetable introduced but no change to frequency. Service 5 will operate every 10 minutes main day and every 30 minutes evenings and combined with service 4 and 6 will provide a frequency of every 5 minutes or better between Battlefield and City Centre via Victoria Road. 6 M6 M6 – Paisley – Silverburn Shopping Centre Service renumbered to operate as M6 and slightly revised timetable introduced but no change to frequency. SimpliCITY Improved frequency of every 10 minutes or better over main section of route. 7 7/7A 7 – Summerston – Cadder – Saracen X – City Centre – Victoria Road – Toryglen Asda – Toryglen – Rutherglen (SimpliCITY) 7A – Summerston – Cadder – Saracen X- City Centre – Victoria Road – Toryglen Asda – Kings Park – Rutherglen – Burnside – Cambuslang – Westburn – Newton Farm (SimpliCITY) Service 7/7A will operate from Summerston to the City Centre every 10 minutes daytime and every 30 minute evenings via Saracen Cross replacing current service 54. From the City Centre, service 7/7A will continue via the current service 7 and 12 route to Toryglen Asda where it will then split with four journeys per hour numbered 7 operating direct via Prospecthill Road to Rutherglen Town Centre, partly replacing service 12. Service 7 will not divert via Prospecthill Circus. Two journeys per hour numbered 7A will operate via Kings Park, Rutherglen Main Street, Stonelaw Road, Burnside, Dukes Road, Cambuslang, and Westburn to Newton Farm replacing service 7. The section of route in Halfway will be partly replaced by revised service 65. 8 8 8 – Partick – Byres Road – Maryhill – Springburn – Riddrie – Parkhead – Shettleston – Carmyle Slightly revised route and timetable introduced to improve reliability but no change to frequency. Service 8 will now operate via Hawthorn Street and Balmore Road in the Saracen area. SimpliCITY Journey every 5 minutes on Paisley Road West to City Centre. 9 9 Extended to serve Braehead Shopping Centre every 20 minutes. 9 – Linwood – Paisley – Cardonald – Paisley Road West – Ibrox – City Centre (SimpliCITY) 9 – Braehead/Penilee – Cardonald – Paisley Road West – Ibrox – City Centre (SimpliCITY) Service 9 will now operate every 10 minutes or better daytime and 30 minutes evenings from Linwood via Paisley to City Centre and every 10 minutes or better daytime and 30 minutes evenings from Penilee to City. From Hillington Road journeys to or from Linwood or Penilee will combine to provide a service 9 journey every 5 minutes or better daytime and every 15 minutes evenings to the City Centre via Cardonald and Ibrox. Alternate Penilee journeys will be extended to start or finish at Braehead Shopping Centre providing a new 20 minute daytime link between Braehead, Penilee, Paisley Road West and the City Centre. The section of route between Drumchapel and the City Centre will be replaced by new service 3 every 10 minutes or better daytime via Charing Cross. Please refer to the change information shown for service 23 for full details. 11 11 11 – Clydebank – Knightswood – Anniesland – Kelvindale – City Centre (SPT Journeys only) Apart from evening journeys operated under contract to SPT, service 11 will no longer be operated by First although many sections of route will still have an alternative service available. Between Robroyston and City Centre via Royston Road service 11 will be replaced by additional journeys on service 19 to retain a 30 minute daytime and 60 minute evening frequency to or from Robroyston and a 15 minute daytime and 30 minute evening frequency over the Royston Road – City Centre section of route. Between Anniesland Cross/Kelvindale and City Centre service 11 will be replaced by service 4 providing an improved 20 minute daytime frequency over this section of route. Please check under the heading for service 44 for full details. Between Clydebank and Anniesland, First service 6 will provide a partial alternative to service 11. Glasgow Citybus service 141 also provides a link over this section of route, details can be found at www.glasgowcitybus.co.uk for full details. 12 SimpliCITY Between Rutherglen and City service 12 is replaced by service 7/7A 7/7A 7 – Summerston – Cadder – Saracen X – City Centre – Victoria Road – Toryglen Asda – Toryglen – Rutherglen (SimpliCITY) SimpliCITY 7A – Summerston – Cadder – Saracen X- City Centre – Victoria Road – Toryglen Asda – Kingspark – Rutherglen – Burnside – Cambuslang – 57 Westburn – Newton Farm (SimpliCITY) 57A Service 7/7A will operate from Summerston to the City Centre every 10 minutes daytime and 30 minutes evenings via Saracen Cross replacing current service 54. From the City Centre, service 7/7A will continue via the current service 7 and 12 route to Toryglen Asda where it will then split. Four journeys per hour numbered 7 will operate direct via Prospecthill Road to Rutherglen Town Centre, partly replacing service 12. Service 7 will operate direct via Prospecthill Road and will not divert via Prospecthill Circus. Two journeys per hour numbered 7A will operate via Kingspark, Rutherglen Main Street, Stonelaw Road, Burnside, Dukes Road, Cambuslang, and Westburn to Newton Farm replacing service 7. Between Balornock East and City Centre service 12 is replaced by service 57A Service 57/57A will operate from Silverburn or Kennishead to the City Centre via Shawlands providing a combined 6 minute daytime and 15 minute evening frequency between Thornliebank and the City Centre. From the City Centre buses will then operate via the current 12 and 56 route to Petershill Road at Red Road flats. From Petershill Road at Red Road flats, service 57/57A will split to operate every 12 minutes daytime and 30 minute evenings to Barmulloch and Balornock East as service 57A replacing the current service 12 or every 12 minutes daytime and every 30 minutes evenings to Wallacewell Road, Auchinairn and Westerhill Road as service 57 replacing the current service 56. SimpliCITY Improved City Centre Access 18 18 18 – East Kilbride (Greenhills) – Murray – Town Centre – Calderwood – Cathkin – Burnside – Rutherglen – Bridgeton – City Centre (SimpliCITY) Slightly revised City Centre route with buses now terminating at Douglas Street rather than Buchanan Bus Station. Slightly revised timetable introduced but no change to frequency which remains every 10 minutes or better daytime and every 15 minutes evenings. 19 19 Every 15 minutes over Provanmill – City – Kelvingrove section of route 19 – Easterhouse – Glasgow Fort – Gartloch Road – Craigend – Provanmill – Royston Road – City Centre – Charing X – Byres Road – Summerston 19 – Robroyston – Provanmill – Royston Road – City Centre – Charing X – Byres Road – Partick – Broomhill – Anniesland – Blairdardie Service 19 will operate every 30 minutes from Easterhouse Shopping Centre to Provanmill via Gartloch Road and Craigend or every 30 minutes daytime and every 60 evenings from Robroyston to Provanmill replacing service 11. From Provanmill service 19 will provide a combined 15 minute daytime and 30 minute evening frequency to the City Centre via Royston Road and Royal Infirmary. From the City Centre, service 19 will operate via Charing Cross and Kelvingrove to replace service 23. From Kelvingrove service
