The One already provides a fast and frequent link from the Dumbarton area to the City Centre via Clydebank and Scotstoun.

To further improve this service, a new additional variant will be introduced between Drumchapel and the City Centre. Buses will start at Drumchapel (Lillyburn Place) and will then operate via Achamore Road, Kinfauns Drive, Duntreath Avenue, Alderman Road, Polnoon Avenue, Cairntoul Drive and Road where it will then join the exiting One to the City Centre via Clydeside Expressway.

Journeys that operate to or from Drumchapel will display route number 1 – Drumchapel or City Centre and will operate every 20 minutes daytime and every 30 minutes in the evenings.

The current timetable of The One will be slightly revised, with additional 1A journeys serving Bellsmyre introduced during Monday to Friday peak periods.

With this additional service being introduced there will be a One every 2 or 3 minutes during peak periods, approximately every 5 minutes during off-peak periods and every 15 minutes in the evening. 2 M2 M2 – Asda – – Spittal –

From the City Centre, service 7/7A will continue via the current service 7 and 12 route to Toryglen Asda where it will then split with four journeys per hour numbered 7 operating direct via Prospecthill Road to Rutherglen Town Centre, partly replacing service 12. Service 7 will not divert via Prospecthill Circus.

Two journeys per hour numbered 7A will operate via Kings Park, Rutherglen Main Street, Stonelaw Road, Burnside, Dukes Road, Cambuslang, and Westburn to Newton Farm replacing service 7.

The section of route in Halfway will be partly replaced by revised service 65. 8 8 8 – – Byres Road – – Springburn – – – –

Slightly revised route and timetable introduced to improve reliability but no change to frequency. Service 8 will now operate via Hawthorn Street and Balmore Road in the Saracen area. From Hillington Road journeys to or from Linwood or Penilee will combine to provide a service 9 journey every 5 minutes or better daytime and every 15 minutes evenings to the City Centre via Cardonald and Ibrox.

Alternate Penilee journeys will be extended to start or finish at Braehead Shopping Centre providing a new 20 minute daytime link between Braehead, Penilee, Paisley Road West and the City Centre.

The section of route between Drumchapel and the City Centre will be replaced by new service 3 every 10 minutes or better daytime via Charing Cross. Please refer to the change information shown for service 23 for full details.

11 11 11 – Clydebank – – Anniesland – – City Centre (SPT Journeys only)

Apart from evening journeys operated under contract to SPT, service 11 will no longer be operated by First although many sections of route will still have an alternative service available.

Between and City Centre via Royston Road service 11 will be replaced by additional journeys on service 19 to retain a 30 minute daytime and 60 minute evening frequency to or from Robroyston and a 15 minute daytime and 30 minute evening frequency over the Royston Road – City Centre section of route. Between Anniesland Cross/Kelvindale and City Centre service 11 will be replaced by service 4 providing an improved 20 minute daytime frequency over this section of route. Please check under the heading for service 44 for full details.

Service 57/57A will operate from Silverburn or to the City Centre via providing a combined 6 minute daytime and 15 minute evening frequency between and the City Centre. From the City Centre buses will then operate via the current 12 and 56 route to Petershill Road at Red Road flats.

From Petershill Road at Red Road flats, service 57/57A will split to operate every 12 minutes daytime and 30 minute evenings to and Balornock East as service 57A replacing the current service 12 or every 12 minutes daytime and every 30 minutes evenings to Wallacewell Road, Auchinairn and Westerhill Road as service 57 replacing the current service 56. From Provanmill service 19 will provide a combined 15 minute daytime and 30 minute evening frequency to the City Centre via Royston Road and Royal Infirmary.

From the City Centre, service 19 will operate via Charing Cross and Kelvingrove to replace service 23.

From Kelvingrove service 19 will then split to operate every 30 minutes daytime to Blairdardie or Summerston replacing service 23. In the evenings a 60 minute service will operate between Partick and Summerston and between Partick and Blairdardie.

On journeys to Blairdardie service 19 will operate a slightly revised route from Partick Bus Station which will mean these journeys will continue along Dumbarton Road and then operate via Broomhill Drive and Crow Road. This will mean that the bottom part of Crow Road will not be served by First but is within a short walk to alternative services on Dumbarton Road or the top end of Crow Road.

On journeys to or from Summerston, service 19 will operate every 30 minutes daytime and every 60 minutes evenings (between Partick and Summerston only) over the current route of service 23 to Summerston via Byres Road and Queen Margaret Drive. Service 6 journeys from Drumchapel will continue to terminate in the City Centre at and service 6 journeys from Mountblow will continue to extend to East Kilbride via Victoria Road, Battlefield, Cathcart, Clarkston and Busby.

Service 21 will continue to operate every 15 minutes except off peak during the day when it will operate every 30 minutes between East Kilbride and City Centre and every 15 minutes from Cathkin.

New service SimpliCITY 6 will provide an additional 10 minutes daytime / 30 minutes evening service to East Kilbride, which operates on part of the Service 21 route.

Service18 and 201 will each operate every 10 minutes.

Service 18 will continue to provide a 10 minute daytime service to East Kilbride Greenhills and a new 15 minute evening service. From the City Centre service 3 will operate to Drumchapel Station via Charing Cross, Kelvingrove, Partick, Whiteinch, Shawlands and Lincoln Avenue replacing service 9 with the exception that service 3 will operate via rather than Argyle Street.

The section of route between City Centre and Summerston and City Centre and Blairdardie will be replaced by service 19. Please refer to the change information shown for service 19 for full details.

27A 89/89A Improved 15 minute fast service between and City Centre 27B 89 – (Northfield) – Kilsyth – Queenzieburn – – Bishopbriggs – City Centre 89A – Torrance – Mavis Valley – Bishopbriggs – City Centre

Service 89 will operate from Kilsyth (Northfield) every 30 minutes daytime to City Centre or from Torrance every 30 minutes daytime to City Centre. From Strathkelvin Retail Park journeys from Kilsyth or Torrance will combine to provide a service 89 journey every 15 minutes daytime to City Centre via Bishopbriggs and Springburn.

Combined with existing service 88, service 89 will provide a journey every 7/8 minutes daytime between Bishopbriggs and City Centre.

One journey per hour daytime will continue to serve Mavis Valley as service 89A.

The frequency to or from Chryston, Barlanark or Baillieston will be every 30 minutes during the day and every 60 minutes in the evening/Sunday to or from each of these destinations (Baillieston Sunday daytime only no evening service).

Buses to Chryston and Baillieston will no longer depart from Buchanan Bus Station instead serving service 38 stops in the City. Links to or from the City Centre from Drumchapel and Garscadden will be provided by an additional variant of The One which will provide a fast express service every 20 minutes daytime and every 30 minutes evenings via the Clydeside Expressway.

These journeys on service 1 will start at Drumchapel (Lillyburn Place) and will then operate via Achamore Road, Kinfauns Drive, Duntreath Avenue, Alderman Road, Polnoon Avenue, Cairntoul Drive and Anniesland Road where they will then join the exiting One to the City Centre via Clydeside Expressway.

On Mondays to Saturdays service 43 will be revised to operate between Easterhouse and Parkhead Forge via Wardie Road, Westerhouse Road, Edinburgh Road then via current route with the exception that buses will no longer operate via Crescent. The timetable will be slightly revised but with no change to the current frequency. On Sundays service 43 will continue to extend to the City Centre via Bridgeton.

Between Kennishead and City Centre, service 45 will be replaced by new service 57A operating the same current route as service 45 and operating every 12 minutes during daytime and every 30 minutes evenings. From the City Centre, service 57A will operate to Balornock East via Petershill Road and Barmulloch replacing the route of current service 12.

Over the course of the next few months, a fleet of 49 brand new buses will be introduced to upgrade this service. These buses will have such features as leather seating and free wi fi and represent an investment of over £7 million to upgrade this route.

Combined with service 4 and 5, service 6 will provide a bus every 5 minutes or less between Muirend – Cathcart – Battlefield – Victoria Road – City Centre.

An additional 10 minute service will operate between City Centre and Drumchapel via the current service 20 route and together, service 6 will operate every 5 minutes daytime and every 15 minutes evenings between City Centre and Anniesland via Great Western Road. Between Drumchapel (Glenkirk Drive) and Clydebank additional journeys will be provided so that service 60 will operate every 10 minutes daytime and these journeys will replace service 140. All journeys on service 60 will operate via Kinfauns Drive. 189 None Service 189 will no longer be operated by First. We will continue to provide links to the Southern General Hospital on service 90. The frequency of service X3 will be revised to operate every 30 minutes daytime with additional Monday to Friday peak hour journeys every 15 minutes. X4 X3 X5 – Abronhill – Kildrum – North Carbrain – Greenfaulds – Condorrat – – M80 Motorway – City Centre X5 X5 X80 We propose to withdraw services X4 and X80 due to a lack of passenger demand, however we will continue to run X3 and X5.
