The Mayor, Municipal Administration and City Council We are honored to carry on our friendship and brotherhood between our Communities in the name of St. Anthony of Padua and in the name of relationships born in the spirit of a historical and cultural exchange between you in the new world, America, and we of the old Europe, here in , in Brusciano province of lies the origin of the Giglio Feast dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua because his Miracle of June 13rd, 1875 happened in our town.

That’s why we are sending you our best regards and congratulations in our name and in that of the Gigli’s Associations of the City of Brusciano: Giglio Croce Passo Veloce; Giglio Gioventu; Giglio Ortolano; Giglio Passo Veloce who are preparing with us, the 143rd Gigli’s Feast in Brusciano, with the big event “Gigli’s Dance” to be held on Sunday, August 26th, 2018. The dancing obelisks in our communities repeat each year the tradition of our ancestors and the respect of the religious values of the millennial Catholic Church.

Approaching your St. Anthony's Day, We express to you all our best wishes for the success of the Giglio Dance 2018. This year, like every year, from 1908 to 2018, the Giglio Society of East Harlem, in New York will celebrate the feast for Saint Anthony of Padua in next weekend, Thursday-Sunday, August 9-12, 2018, near the Shrine Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, on the East 115th Street on Pleasant Avenue.

Culture, religion, memory and the witness of Bruscianese People in above a century of the Italian American glorious history: As the GSEH proudly said and wrote, 110 years and the tradition continues. So you are going to lift the Giglio on Sunday, August 12, with the heroic lifters of great paranza of Giglio Boys “Number 1 Capo” Capo Paranza Gerard Madio , to whom our congratulations go.

Now, before we close this heartfelt message, we are inviting you all to come and celebrate our "Festa dei Gigli di Brusciano” from 22nd to 28th August 2018 in honor of Saint Anthony of Padua.
