“When I started at the ELC, I had no English skills and that was very stressful for me. [However], in 6 months, I felt more comfortable speaking with native English speakers. The people are so friendly and the ELC really gave us more opportunities to talk and practice English. I also love the University of Denver because it has great athletic environment and academic departments. That gives me more opportunity to think about my future after I graduate from DU. My dad really supported me to come to the United States. He wanted me to experience different cultures and he knew that would be important for my future. I think he was right.”
