MONACO RETURNS, THREE SEEDS IN ACTION

DAY 2 PREVIEW: Juan Monaco and three seeds are in action on Tuesday at the Argentina Open. All together there are eight singles matches and three doubles matches on the schedule.

Leading off play on Billoch Caride is Uruguayan / No. 8 seed and Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas. The pair split their two previous tour-level meetings. Following is Italian wild card / No. 6 seed and local hope . The top ranked Italian has won both previous encounters.

In the night session the youngest player in the Emirates Top 20 and No. 5 seed takes on Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta. The world No. 19 Thiem won their lone previous encounter last year in the quarter-finals at Gstaad in three sets. The final match is a first time meeting between Italian qualifer and 2007 champion Juan Monaco. The 23-year-old Italian is looking for his first career tour-level win (0-10 record), he has won a set in 7 of 10 tour-level matches. The No. 3 Argentine Monaco is making his return to the ATP World Tour for the first time since last August in Kitzbühel. The 31-year-old Argentine underwent right wrist surgery shortly after and has been side lined since.
