Greta is a really motivated person who we feel will do great credit to whichever college program she eventually chooses. She has strong ambitions and desire, coupled with a strong tennis and sporting heritage and strong academic abilities. Her international rankings do not fairly correlate with her real value as a player. In reality she has not played international events consistently enough due to her strong commitment to a very high academic standard high school in Milan. In this Player Profile you will see key tennis information explained through official documents from Italian Federation and Academic Results. Additionally, we will provide all official documents as required for TOEFL, transcripts, etc. as well as a video that shows Greta in training. Greta wants to start her College career in August 2020, but she is also open to start in January 2021. We hope her profile is of interest to you and we look forward to introducing you to Greta in due course. Respectfully, Col-Ten, a brand of FanBase Consulting Ltd, a company registered in the UK 1 COL-TEN College Tennis Placement Services SUPPORTING INFORMATION KEY TENNIS INFORMATION Greta has a national ranking of 2.5 which corresponds to a 9.5 to 10.49 UTR range (see the Table below from the Italian Tennis Federation). Her UTR is lower than it should be due to a lack of international tournament play as she completes her challenging schooling schedule. For comparison, here are current College Tennis Players from Italy with their UTR and Italian Rating: Player Current UTR UNIVERSITY Italian Ranking before Freshman Year at College Rosanna Maffei 10.70 KANSAS STATE 2.5 Martina Zerulo 11.02 U. of ARKANSAS 2.4 Anna Turco 10.26 KANSAS STATE 2.5 TENNIS COACH COMMENTS Uros Vico – Greta’s Coach at Bonacossa Tennis Academy, Milan, Italy Uros is a former Croatian professional player (ATP Singles #166, ATP Doubles #80), who is currently coaching Marco Cecchinato. Uros coached Greta in the past and is currently coaching her when he is not on the tour. "Greta technically is quite a complete player. She has a lot of ease in her shots. She has a big serve – she likes to be very aggressive with her 1st serve, and she knows how to use the slice serve. She has to improve her kick serve and learn how to use it tactically during the match. Her Forehand is her big weapon, while her two- handed backhand is a solid shot. In her backhand she improved a lot but still has margin to improve especially in the power and changing the rhythm. Greta can manage her matches better because sometimes she is too passive and too far away from the baseline instead of staying closer and looking for more aggressive game (which she can do because she has a good volley). Mentally, Greta is strong. She loves to play tennis and is really competitive. Greta still has a lot of room to improve."
