The first is from a former National Serviceman who joined the 1st Battalion some 4 months after the amalgamation parade, Trevor Woodham. The sec- ond is from someone on parade on that day in 1959 when two great county regiments bequeathed their history and traditions to the new Regiment and served before the Colours beyond the life span of Regi- ment, Peter Stacey.
