En total, achéganse nomes galegos para 534 especies de moluscos. A estrutura En primeiro lugar preséntase unha clasificación taxonómica que considera as clases, ordes, superfamilias e familias de moluscos. Aquí apúntase, de maneira xeral, os nomes dos moluscos que hai en cada familia. A seguir vén o corpo do documento, onde se indica, especie por especie, alén do nome científico, os nomes galegos e ingleses de cada molusco (nalgún caso, tamén, o nome xenérico para un grupo deles). Ao final inclúese unha listaxe de referencias bibliográficas que foron utilizadas para a elaboración do presente documento. Nalgunhas desas referencias recolléronse ou propuxéronse nomes galegos para os moluscos, quer xenéricos quer específicos. Outras referencias achegan nomes para os moluscos noutras linguas, que tamén foron tidos en conta. Alén diso, inclúense algunhas fontes básicas a respecto da metodoloxía e dos criterios terminolóxicos empregados. 2 Tratamento terminolóxico De modo moi resumido, traballouse nas seguintes liñas e cos seguintes criterios: En primeiro lugar, aprofundouse no acervo lingüístico galego. ÉTUDE SUR L'ALIMENTATION D'AEOLIDIA PAPI LLOSA L. par Jean-Claude Moreteau Station biologique de Roscoff et Laboratoire de Zoologie, Université Paris-Sud, Centre d'Orsay - 91405 Orsay Résumé Après une étude biologique d'Aeolidia papillosa en milieu naturel (herbier des environs de Roscoff), ce travail aborde l'adaptation alimentaire du Nudi- branche à ses proies (les Actiniaires). A partir de l'étude du cnidome des proies, on établit un coefficient de présence pour chaque type de cnidocyste dans chaque tissu. Une analyse qualitative et quantitative des fèces du prédateur permet de dégager certains faits. Les basitriches sont stockés dans les sacs cnidophores et sont aussi rejetés régulièrement. Tous les autres cnidocystes, à part les mastigophores microbasiques, sont rejetés très rapidement et sans subir de dégradation. Par contre, les mastigophores microbasiques sont rejetés plus tardivement et en grande partie dégradés. La quantité de chaque type de cnido- cyste dans les fèces confirme que le prédateur n'a pas la même appétence envers les différents tissus. Il existe une bonne relation entre le comportement prédateur du Nudibranche et son appétence envers les différents tissus de la proie. Introduction Les préférences alimentaires d'Aeolidia papillosa ont fait l'objet de nombreuses observations. Cela a permis de dresser la liste des proies du Nudibranche (Miller, 1961 ; Swennen, 1961 ; Waters, 1973 ; Edmunds et coll., 1974 pour ne citer que les travaux les plus récents). Corrélativement, des études ont porté sur le choix de la proie par ce Nudibranche (Stehouwer, 1952 ; Braams et Geelen, 1953 ; Waters, 1973 ; Edmunds et coll., 1974), ainsi que sur les réactions des Actiniaires vis-à-vis du prédateur (Robson, 1966 ; Waters, 1973 ; Edmunds et coll., 1976). -

Cabioch et ses collaborateurs pour la période 1971-1976. La distribution des communautés macrobenthiques étant régie pro parte par la couverture sédimentaire, la nature des fonds du bassin oriental de la Manche a été caractérisée et cartographiée à partir de la classification de Folk pour les deux périodes étudiées. Une relative stabilité de la couverture sédimentaire a été mise en évidence : 69 % de la zone étudiée présentant peu ou pas de changements. Ces observations ont été mises en relation avec l’hydrodynamisme, facteur structurant dominant de la couverture sédimentaire en Manche. Les zones où un changement est observable se situent dans les baies, à la sortie des estuaires et à proximité des zones connues de bancs de sable. -

CROTHERS Egypt Cottage, Fair Cross, Washford, Watchet, Somerset TA23 0LY ABSTRACT Rocky sea shores are amongst the best habitats in which to carry out biological field projects. In that habitat, marine snails (prosobranchs) offer the most opportunities for individual investigations, being easy to find, to identify, to count and to measure and beng sufficiently robust to survive the experience. A key is provided for the identification of the larger species and suggestions are made for investigations to exploit selected features of individual species. INTRODUCTION Rocky sea shores offer one of the best habitats for individual or group investigations. Not only is there de facto public access (once you have got there) but also the physical factors that dominate the environment - tides (inundation versus desiccation), waves, heat, cold, light, dark, salinity etc. - change significantly over a few metres in distance. As a bonus, most of the fauna and flora lives out on the open rock surface and patterns of distribution may be clearly visible to the naked eye. Finally, they are amongst the most ‘natural’ of habitats in the British Isles; unless there has been an oil spill, rocky sea shores are unlikely to have been greatly affected by covert human activity. Some 270 species of marine snail (Phylum Mollusca, Class Gastropoda; Sub-Class Prosobranchia) live in the seas around the British Isles (Graham, 1988) and their empty shells may be found on many beaches. Most of these species are small (less than 3 mm long) or live beneath the tidemarks. -
