At its 392nd meeting held on 30 April 1976, the Council gave its assent as requested by the Commission. For the Council The President B. BERG ASSENT No 14/76 given by the Council, pursuant to the second paragraph of Article 54 of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, to enable the Commission to grant a loan to finance a power station unit of 660 MW based on hard coal in Hohenhameln-Mehrum (Federal Republic of Germany) by Kraftwerk Mehrum GmbH In a letter dated 19 March 1976, the Commission of the European Communities requested the assent of the Council pursuant to the second paragraph of Article 54 of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community to enable it to grant a No C 111/4 Official Journal of the European Communities 19. 5. 76 loan to finance the construction of a power station unit of 660 MW based on hard coal in Hohenhameln-Mehrum by Kraftwerk Mehrum GmbH. At its 392nd meeting held on 30 April 1976, the Council gave its assent as requested by the Commission. For the Council The President B. BERG ASSENTS Nos 15 AND 16/76 given by the Council pursuant to Article 56 (2) (a) of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, to permit the Commission to grant redevelopment loans of: — 250 000 US dollars (approximately 215 000 u.a.) to Sierra Chemical Europe BV, the Netherlands, for their fertilizer plant at Heerlen, the Netherlands; — £5-5 million (approximately 9-6 million u.a.) to Courtaulds Ltd, United Kingdom, for the purposes of: — building a spinning factory and increasing the capacity of the existing dyehouse at Spennymoor, Co. Durham; — installing a weaving factory at Belmont, Co. Durham. The Commission requested these assents in letters dated 17 March 1976. The Council gave the assents in question on 30 April 1976. BERG 19.5. 76 Official Journal of the European Communities No C 111/5 III (Notices) COURT OF JUSTICE APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF A LAWYER-COMPUTER SPECIALIST The Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg has a vacancy for A LAWYER-COMPUTER SPECIALIST NATURE OF THE DUTIES: — Documentary analysis of texts relating to Community case-law. — Participation in the administrative and advisory duties involved in the development of a multilingual computerized information service. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: — Legal training supported by a degree. — Knowledge and experience of data processing, in particular of computerized information on legal matters. — Thorough knowledge of German, English or French. Good knowledge of at least one other of these languages. Must have at least a passive knowledge of French. Knowledge of other official languages of the Communities will be taken into account. OTHER CONDITIONS: — Nationality of a Member State of the Communities. — Not more than 35 years of age on 1 January 1976 (born after 1 January 1940). REMUNERATION AND OTHER BENEFITS: — Appointment under contract with a net monthly salary in the case of an unmarried applicant (including 16 % expatriation allowance for those who have not been resident in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg before their appointment) of between 55 345 Bfrs (approx. £749) and 60 749 Bfrs (approx. £822) according to age and experience. Where appropriate, family allowances will be payable. — Social security benefits in accordance with the provisions of the Staff Regulations of Officials (pension or severance grant, sickness and accident insurance). — Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Annual leave: 5 weeks. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: — Complete secondary education or equivalent experience. — Training as a documentalist. — Knowledge in the field of computerized information, in particular that of the data processing of legal material, will be taken into consideration. — Knowledge of languages: thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the Communities and satisfactory knowledge of a least one other language of the Communities. Applicant must be able to understand French texts without difficulty and have a good knowledge of written French. OTHER CONDITIONS: — Nationality of a Member State of the Communities (Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands or the United Kingdom). — Not more than 30 years of age on 1 January 1976 (born on or after 1 January 1945). South-east part of city Project leader South Kirkby & Moorthorpe Community Project (SK&MCP) A good example of engaging young people in the preparation of a Community Action Plan for an urban neigbourhood. Achieved by a local school council preparing a Youth Action Plan based on data from a questionnaire for school students and other young people. Context • South Kirkby and Moorthorpe were once small agricultural communities (recorded in the Doomsday Book). • During the Industrial Revolution they were transformed into ‘pit villages’ with an urban character. • Closure of collieries in the early 1990s led to severe social and economic deprivation. • Various regeneration initiatives taken, including the preparation of a South Kirkby & Moorthorpe Community Action Plan, led by a Community Partnership of local stakeholders. Councillors are elected by residents of the district and are responsible for making decisions about local services and budgets, such as Council Tax, on behalf of the local community. Each councillor serves for a period of four years. The ward boundaries are reviewed periodically, and the current boundaries were last altered in 2004.
