Mission Statement: "To provide for, support, guide, coordinate, regulate and promote quality education and sports to all persons in Uganda for national integration, individual and national development". Strategic Objectives: To ensure universal and equitable access to quality basic education for all children through: (i) Early Childhood Care and Development for children up to 8 years; (ii) Universal Primary Education for children from 6 years to 12 years; (iii) Education for the disadvantaged groups from 6 years to 18 years; and, (iv) Implementing Universal Post Primary Education and Training.
