Mission Statement: "To provide for, support, guide, coordinate, regulate and promote quality education and sports to all persons in Uganda for national integration, individual and national development". Strategic Objectives: To ensure universal and equitable access to quality basic education for all children through: (i) Early Childhood Care and Development for children up to 8 years; (ii) Universal Primary Education for children from 6 years to 12 years; (iii) Education for the disadvantaged groups from 6 years to 18 years; and, (iv) Implementing Universal Post Primary Education and Training. A descriptive survey research design was used in the study. A total sample population of 316 participated in the study which included 8 officials from National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC), 4 District education officers from Gulu, Mbarara, Jinja and Kampala Capital City Authority, 8 policymakers and administrators from the Ministry of Education and Sports who were purposively selected respectively and 296 secondary teachers who were selected using simple random sampling technique. Data was collected using a self administered questionnaire, interview guide, documentary analysis guide, and observation checklist. The study findings showed that indicators of Neo-colonialism had an influence on educational curriculum at O-level Education in Uganda. It was therefore concluded that educational curriculum at O-level Education in Uganda does not fully suit the needs of the local people because it is indirectly influenced by Neo-colonialism which makes the indigenous people benefit less compared to the developed countries. It was recommended that, teacher‟s preparation should emphasize skills development rather than the knowledge acquisition to avoid dependency syndrome.

Summary of RMF/MTCF-sponsored activities carried out during the reporting period under each project objective (note any changes from original plans): • School fees were paid for 85 children in Buwate Sports Academy, with funds from RMF. • Buwate Sports Academy organized and held holiday sports programs for the academy children, and welcomed children back to school with serious training for the categories of under-3, under-9, under-11, under-13, and under-16. • Buwate Sports Academy participated in the under-16 category in the Airtel Rising Stars national tournament, held at the Villa Park Nsambya sports grounds in Kampala. Buwate children won with a score of 2-0 against Nsambya Soccer Academy, thus making it to the district tournament level.
