52 CHAUNCY ST. RM. 305 , MASS. 02111 542-2835 "Citizens Working Together for Better Schools" Instructions for Interviews

In beginning this survey, you will be interviewing 4 REPC members from each target school. Please make sure that we choose 50% white and 50% non-white. Also you will be interviewing members of CDAC and CPAC. For Districts 2, 8 &9, you will be interviewing 2 CDAC and 2 CPAC members. For the other Districts (1, 3, 4, 5, 6 &7), you will be interviewing 4 CDAC and 2 CPAC members. You should make every effort to interview 50 % white and 50% non-white from each group (CDAC and CPAC). When introducing yourself please state the following: 1. you are from CWEC 2. that you are interviewing parents to get their views on the University pairings 3. that CWEC received a grant from EEO to conduct this survey 4. that the information is confidential and no names will be recorded. In your interview, please be objective and do not let any of your own biases enter into the interview. We are interested only in the parent's views, not yours. Also, do not deviate from the questions at all. Please read them exactly as written and do not add any of your own words. The reason we ask you to do it this way is so that the same questions will be asked in the same way for all those being interviewed. Draft Survey Sex: M F Race: W B 0
