ENACTUS SA ROOKIE TEAMS 2016 COMPETITION RESULTS 2014-2016: None Enactus SA hosted the 2016 Enactus SA National Competition over two days and 20 out of the 27 higher 2013-2014: University of South Africa education institutions that are enrolled in the Enactus Programme, participated this year. 2012-2013: None The Enactus team from the University of Johannesburg won the 2016 Enactus South Africa National 2011-2012: College Campus (Pretoria) Competition. The other teams that came out tops in the National Competition were the University of 2010-2011: Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Venda, The University of Zululand and the University of Pretoria. University 2009-2010: The following four teams were placed 5th in the overall competition: 2008-2009: University of Pretoria  Durban University of Technology 2007-2008: Durban University of Technology  Mangosuthu University of Technology FACULTY ADVISOR OF THE YEAR:  Vaal University of Technology  University of the Free State 2015-2016: Lana-Ann Brady, Durban University of Technology Sponsored by Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited and Barloworld Limited, the event was hosted at 2014-2015: Dr Rina Wilken, Sandton Convention Centre and was attended by 1,100 students and business leaders. University of Pretoria 2013-2014: Dr Ferdinand Niyimbanira, The UJ team then went on to represented South Africa at the 2016 Enactus World Cup in Toronto Vaal University of Technology (Canada) from 28-20 September, where they made it through to the Semi-final round. Here they were up 2012-2013: Ellen Rungani against the teams from Canada, Morocco, and Guatemala. The home country team from Canada made University of Fort Hare it to the Final round and was crowned the World Champion. The team competed with the winning teams 2011-2012: Nana Vezi, University of Zululand from 34 countries. The UJ Team presented on two of their projects executed during the 2015-2016 2010-2011: Joyce Sibeko, academic year. University of Johannesburg 2009-2010: Dr Crispen Chipunza They showcased how they empowered their beneficiaries to earn an income and take care of their University of Fort Hare livelihoods, and assisted social grant recipients to supplement their income through subsistence urban 2008-2009: Lana-Ann Brady, Durban farming which brought hope to these beneficiaries who have dreams of becoming commercial farmers University of Technology and address the food crisis. 2007-2008: Prof Japie Kroon, North-West University They also, in response to the looting, xenophobic attacks and brutality on foreign nationals, created entrepreneurial opportunities for refugees to work together with local SMMEs. No less than 2015-2016: Christa van Zyl, University of 221 individuals were trained on business skills, but this also automatically qualified them with startup Johannesburg funds from Jesuit Refugees Services.
