Pictured is a pyramid of food in the school lobby which was less than half of the total amount of the food collected. Ms Zaleski’s class ran a contest challenging the students to bring in food items during the fi rst two weeks of February. Prizes were awarded to the classes who collected the most items. As a fi nal push, on the opening day of the Olympics, grade 6 students painted the faces of all the students and asked for a food item donation in return. It was a fun and thoughtful thing for the students to do.
