Of the 254 museums included in the statistics, 130 are subsidized by the state. Museums subsidized or owned by the state had 12.7 million visitors in 2015, equal to 79 per cent of the total number of visitors in 2015. In 2015, the zoological and botanical gardens had a total of 4.9 million visitors.
