Tribute to the late Jurat Edward James MacGregor Potter I.S.O., former Greffier of the States

The Bailiff paid tribute to the late Jurat Edward James MacGregor Potter I.S.O., former Greffier of the States, and members observed one minute’s silence as a mark of respect.

Message to the Governor of the Falkland Islands

The Bailiff informed the Assembly that he would be sending a message, on behalf of the States and the people of Jersey, to the Governor of the Falkland Islands on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Liberation of the Falklands.

Acting Greffier of the States

The Bailiff informed the Assembly that in accordance with Article 41(15) of the States of Jersey Law 2005, he had appointed the Assistant Greffier of the States, Mrs. Lisa-Marie Hart to discharge the functions of the Greffier of the States and the Deputy Greffier of the States in the event of their absence or incapacity and had that morning administered the appropriate oath to Mrs. Hart in accordance with the provisions of Article 41(17) of the Law.

St. Michael’s School pupils – welcome

The Bailiff, on behalf of all members, welcomed pupils from St. Michael’s School to the Gallery of the States Chamber.
