Japan Art "Japanese Heritage"

Opened in the December of 1977 by Friedrich Müller, Japan Art is the sole gallery in Frankfurt dedicated to Japanese folk art and craft. The gallery is nestled in the historic center under the shadow of the Museum of Modern Art. Collection encompasses works of art by obscure as well as renowned Japanese artists with focus on contemporary and folk art. Certain works are also put up for sale. Museum of Applied Arts "Museum of Applied Art"

Founded in 1877 by a group of private citizens, the Museum Angewandte Kunst was extended in the 1980s and is now run by the city of Frankfurt, boasting a total of over 30,000 exhibits. Städel Museum "For the Love of Art"

The Städel Museum holds a number of art exhibitions every week. You can find exquisite art exhibitions featuring old masters like Caravaggio, Michelangelo as well as contemporary regional artists. Liebieghaus "Picturesque Villa"

Liebieghaus is a beautiful villa constructed in 1896. With a cream façade, white windows, gray roof and a prominent tower, this villa stands proudly resembling a fairy-tale castle. Originally, it was intended as the residence of a textile producer in the late 19th Century, However, today it houses a museum where one can view sculptures from diverse art periods such as by User:FA2010 Renaissance, Classicist, Baroque and Medieval Eras. The statues and figures span Egyptian, Roman, Japanese and Greek styles. Visitors can view permanent collections as well as temporary exhibits, and learn about restoration processes.

Museum Giersch "Art Through Ages"

Museum Giersch showcases local art & culture through the medium of exhibitions which are held annually displaying works- both classic and contemporary. The museum is housed in a neoclassical riverside villa built in the early 20th Century and now one of the only few surviving in Sachsenhausen. The property was converted into an art & exhibition by Museum Giersch gallery by the Giersch Foundation and was opened to public in 2000. Since all the exhibitions are inspired by the traditions and history of the Rhine-Main area, this is a good place to explore and get an insight into the local culture.
