On the academic side we have NAPLAN coming up Thanks early next term and all classes are ‘heads down, tails Nathaniel Miller English Teacher up’, in between major events, making sure their English and Maths skills are at their peek. I congratulate all the students on their application in class and their work ethic. I am so pleased to see all the hard work that is going on as I walk into the classrooms. It is a credit to all of you. Homework has been in full swing since swimming and most students are working hard to com- plete it on time. Many parents have asked how they can help their child to get ready for NAPLAN and the an- swer is; talk over the homework with your child; focus on their spelling and hear them read regularly. This fol- low up to the work they do in school will make a re- markable difference to your child’s progress.

BILLABONG CROWS FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB

Oaklands Football/Netball Club Duty Roster for Season 2012.

Dear Members,

You will find on the right, a roster which has been formulated to help with the preparation of the Oaklands football ground and netball courts for training sessions and home games at Oaklands.

Co-ordinators have been allocated to the weeks as you can see on the Roster, please participate and help out. Co-ordinators are asked to make contact with their allocated helpers and remind them they are rostered on. I may have left people off the list as it is very difficult to get all names at the start of the sea- son. If you are not on the roster and you wish to be part of the volunteer group please don’t hesitate to make contact with a co-ordinator and volunteer your skills and time.

A list of Jobs that have to be done for each week will be displayed on the buildings at the Recreation Ground. Co-ordinators will also have a copy of the job list. Cleaning products and tools required on the day will be kept in the Home change room in the cupboard. Co- ordinators to organise tools etc. If cleaning products run out, tell the co-ordinator and he will contact Jeanette who will replenish the supply.

The Billabong Crows and the Oaklands Foot- ball/Netball Club thank all Volunteers for their contribution, you have been rostered on once for the season so we hope you will help out when it is your turn.
