Feb. 17 th East Bay High School Do you recall the kind of reception and enthusiastic audience we encountered in our previous school shows? Here’s yet another chance to spread the joy of Barbershopping to the youngsters! A note from Lou Wurmnest… The performance on February 17 with a 7:00 PM curtain is being held in Gibsonton at the East Bay High School, 7710 Big Bend Road, Gibsonton, 33534 and the school's phone number is 813-671-5134. Directions to East Bay High School -- whether traveling north or south on Route 75 . Take Exit 246 and turn left (west) on Big Bend Road. Go just past the school and turn right at the stop light. It's the first light for people coming from the south, and the second for those coming from the south. Make a sharp right "hairpin" turn to go back along Big Bend Road on Old Big Bend Road. Go past a dozen or so temporary buildings (less that 0.2 miles) and turn left. There is a large sign pointing towards the auditorium parking -- don't know if the sign is lighted, but it should be. If arriving using Route 41 : Turn east on Big Bend Road off Rte 41, and go to the stop light at the school. Turn left then an immediate right to continue east on Old Big Bend Road in front of the school. Go past a dozen or so temporary buildings (less that 0.2 miles) and turn left. There is a large sign pointing towards the auditorium parking -- don't know if the sign is lighted, but it should be. We will have the chorus room for changing and warm ups. I will have someone posted at the auditorium doors to direct us to that room. There is a loading dock for relatively convenient riser unloading & loading to the left of the auditorium doors. This may be our best audience yet. They have to go some, however, to beat Plant High School!
