This is an appeal by Southport Football Club (“the Club”) from a decision dated 25 March 2021 (“the Decision”) of the independent panel (“the Panel”). The Club was charged with a breach of National League Rule 4.2 and was sanctioned under Rule 4.6, namely a fine of £2000. 2. The charge was set out in the letter from the League dated 29 January 2021. It begins by stating “It has come to our attention that the Club has misinformed the League regarding a Covid Test.” (underlining added) After citing the relevant Covid Board Directive and the Membership Rule 4.2 it proceeded to state “I am obliged, therefore, to charge your Club with a breach of membership Rule 4.2 for failing to properly report COVID-19 events as prescribed in protocols and Club Process Flow charts by - 1 - misinformation.” (underlining added). It is not clear from the charge letter what exactly it was that was misinformed. We will return to that point. 3. On 28 December 2020 the Club was to play away against AFC Fylde. The day before the fixture the League received an email from James Tedford at the Club relating to two players at the Club that were reporting symptoms of Covid-19.

It’s always exciting to write, most of all about the Shots – I have improved greatly since last time out. Being encouraged by several personnel and supporters alike, that was the first step to an improvement in my writing and overall, how I approach different projects. I must therefore thank (not least using the Role of Thanks on the following page), but here and for most in advance; here. I have been supporting the Shots for roughly nine years now – I know it’s a short time but I cannot describe my passion and love for Aldershot Town Football Club.

  • AFC Corporate Brochure 2018-19 New V3.Indd
THE FOOTBALL TEAM OF THE FYLDE COAST CORPORATE HOSPITALITY 2018-19 BE A PART OF THE JOURNEY AFC FYLDE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY WELCOME TO OUR CLUB WELCOME TO OUR CLUB AFC FYLDE ARE THE FASTEST GROWING FOOTBALL TEAM IN THE NORTH WEST WITH METEORIC SUCCESS BOTH ON AND OFF THE PITCH. The 2016-17 season marked the beginning of a new era at AFC Fylde, when we moved into our new ground at Mill Farm, our very own ‘Theatre of Dreams’. It was another massive step on the journey we are on and one we want you to be a part of. PAST Founded in 1988 with the amalgamation of Kirkham and Wesham. In 2008, to embrace the greater football community, the club changed its name to become AFC Fylde. This change was made in order to further the club’s ambition to embrace the wider community and ultimately become an established member of The Football League by 2022. In 2016 we moved to our new home at Mill Farm and to develop ‘the brand’ even further a ladies team was established and Fylde Hockey Club was welcomed to our ever growing sporting family. PRESENT Our first season in the fifth tier of English football brought unprecedented success with Dave Challinor’s side qualifying for the second round of the FA Cup with a live televised game against Wigan Athletic shown on National television. In the league we finished in seventh place which granted us a play-off spot before losing to Boreham Wood. FUTURE This coming season will see us continue to develop the infrastructure of the club.
