members to stand in silence and pray or reflect on their responsibilities to the people of the Australian Capital Territory. Petitions The following petition was lodged for presentation, by Mr Coe, from 210 residents: Roads—Spofforth Street—petition No 7-13 To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory The following residents of the ACT draw to the attention of the Assembly the ongoing traffic issues in Spofforth Street, Holt. The installation of speed humps has moved traffic from Spofforth Street into neighbouring streets which has caused serious safety concerns. Your petitioners, therefore, request the Assembly to call on the Government to (1) remove all the speed humps in Spofforth Street, (2) allow traffic to resume its normal flow and appropriately police the streets, (3) after at least 12 months, assess the traffic, and (4) then, and only then, consider what measures might be appropriate to manage traffic flow. The Clerk having announced that the terms of the petition would be recorded in Hansard and a copy referred to the appropriate minister for response pursuant to standing order 100, the petition was received.
