Now that the days are starting to get a little colder, be quick to put your hand up to fill your teams canteen duty, don’t tell anyone but really this is the warmest place to hang out at the Club, why else would I spend so much time behind that counter. One of the good things about canteen duty is that you get to catch up with lots of different people, this week we caught up with our Roos News Editor Kym and her boys Rhys & Cory. I must say I’m sure glad that Kym decided to have a crack at it, because what a great job she does each week in putting out the Roos News, we now have a few hard copies available on the counter at the canteen for those who don’t get a chance to read it. With all those water sports, seems the family may spend as much time at the pool as I do at the footy club. I wonder if we will see any back flips on the footy field this season, that is a special talent. For someone who isn’t in to MasterChef, bacon, banana and cheese melts sound much more like something you would see on that show than ever in the canteen at Coorparoo, but gee the kids are pushing for some Pizza.
