Clàudia Pagès Rabal 2014 The main focus of my investigation is the construction of organizational formsm, modes of work and how they affect to social interactions and human relations. My work temps to analyze the cultural capital, the popular collectives and their representation with the aim to explore topics as hierarchies, power relations, feelings of belonging, economies of the body and desire. For this I draw relations with other areas of knowledge as popular music, group choreographies or social networking’ systems. My work sometimes consists in creating events as a performatic strategy that needs the participation of a public, installations as approaches to collective spaces, tutorial videos or music to be sung or danced. I ENS VAM PREGUNTAR: I ARA, COM CANTEM SI NO CANTEM PLEGADES? 2014 Performance and installation in collaboration with the Coral Xeremell. For I ENS VAM PREGUNTAR: I ARA, COM CANTEM SI NO CANTEM PLEGADES I proposed to the teenagers choir grup of my hometown to create a song and sing it in the Museu Moli Paperer - the Hand-made Paper Museum- which have an exhibition room for proposals that regulary have no rela- tion to the citizens from the town. During the process to make a song we focus to ithe process itself: How can we do a chorus collecti- velly? Does my body works as a speaker when we sing a song that is not us? Can the youth have it’s own voice? How can be a common voice? Can we write a song together? And if we can do it, what we’ll say and what we’ll repeat? From the questions that emerged creating the chorus we split into groups to write the different ver- ses that will dialogue with the chorus: If we split in groups should we continue doing it by the tones of voice? Or we split for frienship and the modes of work? Which debt will have the verses with the chorus? Participants: Natàlia Andueza, Gemma Bellostas, Marta Blasco, Meritxell Bou, Berta Castells, Marta Colet, Laia Estrada, Johanna Fernàndez, Carla Flix, Clàudia Giménez, Cinta Llorens, Joana Margarit, Irene Meri- no, Cèlia Munné, Maria Paredes, Laia Ramírez, Marta Sabater, Aina Valls. designs for the scarves twill silk 68x68 cm. Networking monologue (or the song I wrote trying to find you) 2013 Performance 16’ Networking monologue (or the song I wrote trying to find you) is a performance in a theater concei- ved in two: a talk and a gig. In this two modes of solo speeches -the talk and the gig- befall antagonistic topics. The Ted Talk and the music concert. The social capital and the potentiality. The intention and the intensity. The curriculum and the leisure. The economics and the non lucrative. The power and the love to anyone. Even thought the two parts are differenced by opposites, the intrinsic rhythm of them is repeated by a constant jump from one paragraph to another, from one potential contact to the next one, from a networking mode to the expand of it, but also from a topic to the next, from one song to the followed, from body movements to all the body sweat, from an individual choreography of an empowered body to, who knows, you might remember the lyrics of my last song when you leave the theater. Presented in ES BIEN (EN SERIO), L’Estruch Theater. Sabadell (ES); Bulbasaur selectors, Freedo- nia. barcelona (ES); Present Indicatiu. Sant Andreu Contemporani. Barcelona and IN_PRESCINDI- BLES, La Poderosa. Barcelona. Slide pictures projected during the talk Tanssipaikka (Pavilion to go dance) 2013 Instalación and performance. During two weeks, Lume gallery was conceived as an space to be transfor- med regulary. The first days a series of materials were transported to build a pavilion that could remember the Tanssipaikka, the finnish pavilions built in the country during the XIX century where, despite the laws, people could get together and dance. The pavilion was built collectively and a neon sign was hung to generate more enthusiasm at the meeting under it. For the opening day, I sang four songs related to the precariousness of the moment, sharing, the excitement of being together, the human chains, the demonstrations and the people who go to yoga classes. After two days, the pavilion was remo- ved. Presented at: Media Center Lume. Helsinki, Finland. In the present video, the hypnosis session not only seeks recall the old art video but also to explore the relation between the hypnotist, the hypnotized and the viewer, showed in loop from memory to the presentation itself in the exhibition room. The red ones 2013 Performance Node Gallery is a gallery inside Aalto University (Helsinki, Finland) where I was invited to do a per- formance for the closing party inside the exhibition “What does it mean to have (this) space”. Even thought the university was public we were not allowed to advertise the event outside the university resting all the activities inside the institution. For the event people from outside the institution were invited to the gallery with a red top. The random red created a visual esthetic and a sense of belonging or not belonging. Smokey Places 2011 Performance At the University of Fine Arts, Barcelona, the song Smokey Places by The Corsairs - internationally known by its famous country dance line - is played during the break. The choreography was taught in the common yard.
