The Best Ever Silloth Music & Beer Festival with the Animals & the Drifters

Fantastic..... From the childrens’ disco to the Sunday afternoon Karaoke, this was a tremendously successful event and a wonderful advert for the town of Silloth. Both the Drifters and the Animals said this was the best audience they had played in ages, everybody was involved and the marquee was bouncing. There will be hundreds of pictures going on to the web site: www.SolwayBuzz.co.uk where prints will be for sale. Both Friday and Saturday nights were sold-out, so next year the tickets are bound to go much faster. Well done all involved, from the volunteer organisers to the perfect audience, roll on 2007.

My name is Clive Firth, I’ve been living in the Silloth area now for about 16 months. I dare say that most of you would have seen me trundling around the area on my three wheel motorcycle. While motorcycling or rather Trike-ing, is one of my first loves, I am also keenly interested and involved in Woodcarving and Wood sculpture, I have been praising and teaching the craft a good number of years. With this in mind I wondered if there were other people in Silloth and the surrounding area that might be interested in starting a Woodcarving/Wood sculpture group?
