What is a mammogram? A mammogram is a safe, low-dose x-ray of the breast. A high-quality mammogram is the most effective tool for detecting breast cancer early. Early detection of breast cancer could mean saving your breast or your life.
How to schedule to your annual mammogram screening: 1. Call Emory’s Breast Imaging Center at (404) 778-7465 (PINK) 2. Press 1 when asked if you are a patient 3. Press 1 for appointments
Important: • Patients 40 years of age and older do not need an order from their provider to schedule a mammogram screening. • For your appointment, wear a two-piece outfit and no oils, lotions, deodorant, or powder on your upper torso. • If you had a previous mammogram at another facility, please request a copy of your images and reports and bring them to your appointment.
