But although in some places were working together, in some other places heroes were at war, or better yet, two kingdoms of proud warriors, a reunion that wasn't meant to ever happen, was now taking place. For Odin, great god of all Asgard, it was an invasion and a sacrilege, since the ones now battling his proud warriors were beings who worshiped a different god than him, a god that for Odin was a coward for not coming to his people's aid and instead, allowed his women filled army to fight on his place. We need your power to teach these none believers their god has betrayed them. They are strong as Valkyries, but they hit with the wrath of the ice giants. This skirmish has gone far enough! Why should we keep fighting for the supremacy of our gods? But I will ask you first, let this be a battle between you and me, there is no need for more casualties. For you to lift my hammer like this. Hulk angry! And the angrier Hulk is! The stronger Hulk is! No one should even anger Hulk! Hulk will hurt superloser! Dear lord! It's really ! Fate, and a married version of Superman, want to know how your married life is? That's amazing! It was an odd reunion, while some of the heroes had fought together, such as Ant Man, Wasp, Flash and Green Lantern; some others were uneasy sharing the same room as the others, such as Aquaman who stared at Hulk with untrusted feelings as the green monster tapped his foot at the floor in annoyance as well. A strong lighting then opened a vortex in the middle of the union hall of the Avenger's mansion; from it came out both Thor and . First Black Panther and now ! Who else wants to make fun of my security system? It was just 50 billion dollars' worth! Oh, forget it; he is worse than Black Panther. What do you want? Superman of course was glad to hear the news, and so he approached the Avengers in order to speak; only Ironman placed his hand in front of them. Well, whatever, what I'm trying to say is, you are now all officially members of the Avengers. This was an unfortunate melding of two universes for no reason. Added to that is that all the team drama is from things that happened in other books. Justice League Of America should be a premier book and this run hasn't been. The art has been very good but couldn't do much for this overly complicated tale involving waaaaaaaaay too many characters. Dec 21, PJ Ebbrell rated it did not like it. Story was a bit dusjointed. One and half stars. Jun 10, Eldon Farrell rated it liked it Shelves: comics. As is so often the case with certain series, the longer they run the more they tail off. McDuffie blames the quality of the stories and his removal from the title on DC editorial, but I think at much of the problem is that McDuffie has not learned how to write for today's market. He writes fine for a one-two issues, but today's market calls for a writer who can string together enough over issues to make it worthwhile for the publisher to collect in a trade paperback. Ther This barely got three stars, and whether he likes hearing it or not it is because of writer Dwayne McDuffie. There are pluses, and this is why I gave it a three instead of two star review. I have always enjoyed the JLA, in all it's various incarnations through the decades. This new modern JLA is a very enjoyable read. Great art and plot make this JLA a great read for an older fan or a perfect place for a new fan. Very recommended. Dec 11, Joe rated it liked it. Solid work. Fun art. A good story. Problem: the reader needs to know a little about Milestone Comics and the characters. It worked for me because I did know some of them. Again fun, good. No real movement of the JLA plot. Aug 26, James Bowman rated it liked it Shelves: comics , dc-comics , , owned. Most of the story serves to a bring back Dr. It manages this rather well, with interruptions from rather smoothly integrated. And it's entertaining. That's pretty much it. Aug 18, Shannon Appelcline rated it really liked it Shelves: comics , comics-dc. Disjointed, but witty. I suppose I couldn't expect any less from the late great Dwayne McDuffie. I do think some of the stories were carried by the clever puns more than the plot though. The JLA starts to fall apart and an old enemy takes advantage. It feels quite patchwork, character moments good, plot holely and not that great. Shame really. The entire time that I was reading this book, I was thinking that I had already read this exact same story 15 years ago. How lazy can you get? Dec 18, Caleb rated it did not like it Shelves: graphic-novels. This is no damn good. Dec 13, Dave Brown rated it liked it Shelves: graphic-novel , borrowed. This was an interesting sorry arc conceptually, but not that great in execution. Still, while the plot lacked, the dialogue was clever at times. Andrew rated it liked it Jun 20, Maxoel Costa rated it did not like it Jul 26, This is a good thing, really! The original plan was to do the DTV and Season Three concurrently but, long story short: we would have been stretched way too thin. JLU is a difficult enough show to do by itself, without having to prep a feature-length movie at the same time. Home Video is still interested in making it, apparently, so hopefully it'll happen. Another fun fact: Worlds Collide , the currently still-on-hold Justice League DTV, featured the Justice League versus you guessed it the Crime Syndicate obviously, we like alternative universe stories, too. Back in the day, he was our choice for Owlman. Everybody else, we had a completely different cast in mind. Justice League of America: When Worlds Collide | DC Database | Fandom

As for now, there is no telling of what caused the fire, but Ant Man and the Wasp are currently helping in the evacuation of the building, though they are currently of not use in putting down the flames! Ow, I will have a good talk with him once we make it back to the mansion, right now we could use his weather controlling powers! What's your story? Bitten by a radioactive giant? He is the man of the comic books! You must be quiet a fan of the comic books to dress yourself like that. And running around that place only draws the flames toward me dude, get your ring to work already. You are the Flash! I have all your comic books! Or maybe you are that Quicksilver guy in disguise. A giant bucket perhaps? That's great, go all over New York giving away my secret identity, I appreciate it a lot, Kyle. Way better than buying weekly issues of the whole series! I don't wanna say anymore about it, just in case it ever does get made there's still a chance, albeit a slim one at the moment, seemingly. Dwayne McDuffie and I came up with the story, Dwayne wrote a terrific script, I designed loads of new characters, we started story-boarding, Andrea Romano had assembled a killer cast, and we were just getting ready to record it, and then Home Video slammed on the brakes, and it was put on the shelf for the time being. I'm just saying. Green Lantern! Is that some kind of space sector? First chapter done, so, I hope you people don't think Ironman was out of character, I just thought that just as Batman, Ironman would be more careful in accepting anyone else's help, especially since in this incarnation he is the leader of the Avengers, despite Captain America saying different. At any rate, Ironman won't be that annoying in future chapters… if there are… also, for the Justice League, first of all, and as I mentioned, John Steward is too boring for a Green Lantern, sorry if you are a fan of him, I'm totally not. I first thought about having Hal Jordan being the Green Lantern, everyone loves Hal Jordan, but then I thought I would be needing him for… other issues… if the story lives that long that is, as for Aquaman replacing Hawkgirl, please, that girl didn't have what it takes to be in the league, kickass yes, but she forced Aquaman out! And that, I don't like, so she is out for now as well. Story Story Writer Forum Community. The Avengers are Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Yet, they are of their Earth.
