THE IVY LEAGUE IN THE POSTSEASON Friday-Sunday, March 16-18 For the first time its history, the Ivy League has four teams advancing to postseason play with Harvard making CIT Second Round its first trip to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship since 1946, Yale earning its first-ever Saturday, March 17 appearance in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT) and Penn and Princeton playing in the College NCAA Third Round Basketball Invitational presented by Zebra Pen (CBI). CAPITAL ONE ® The 2011-12 postseason awards list was packed with multiple honors for multiple Academic All-America previous honorees, highlighted by Penn senior guard Zack Rosen as the Third Team unanimous choice for Player of the Year and first-team All-Ivy. IVIES IN THE RPI THE 14-GAME TOURNAMENT Ivy League teams have combined to post one of the conference’s best showings The “14-game tournament” is a term used by many who cover and follow Ivy in the Rating Percentage Indexes in recent history with four teams entering the League men’s basketball to describe the conference’s double round-robin, postseason with top 105 RPIs.
