A must read for all coin and gold collectors.By Bob NowakI would consider myself more of a stamp collector and my Father would be the coin collector in the family. I was excited to see that my friend, Ed Moy had written a book that added to his many accomplishments which included the 38th Director of the United States Mint. I am very impressed at how his career and life have progressed thus far. I bought this book, because he wrote it, but was going to give it to my Father for Christmas. However, after reading the entire book in one sitting, my Father will get another gift for Christmas. I enjoyed the beginning of the book, which tells how he got to such a prestigious appointment, then how interesting it was on the American Gold Eagle coins. The entire book was very well written and held my attention up to the end of the book. This is a definite read for anyone that has any interest in American Gold Platinum Eagle coins or how to invest in any coins or gold. Thanks Ed, I really enjoyed the book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Excellent information for beginner to serious numismatistBy K JonesI was looking for a book to help me understand how to purchase gold. More specifically, I wanted to know how to safely buy, buy from a reputable dealer, and understand all the nuances of gold I am buying. I also wanted to know the differences between holding the physical gold versus ETF and ETN funds. The author was the Director of the U.S. Mint and he shares a wealth of information including the basics of bullion coin investing, American Gold and Platinum Eagle mintages, silver and palladium bullion programs, high relief coins, and so much more including history of the gold standard.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy CustomerGreat seller. Good read. Recommended to any gold platinum enthusiast. The hugely popular American Gold Eagle and American Platinum Eagle coins are collected by numismatists, stockpiled by investors, and treasured by precious metal buyers throughout the United States and around the world. Now, no less an expert than Edmund Moy—director of the U.S. Mint from 2006 to 2011—shares his unique insight and perspective on these beautiful pieces of Americana. • Seven Reasons Why Gold Will Run in 2021!
Seven Reasons Why Gold Will Run in 2021! Gold’s BULL RUN in the Post COVID Economy Call 1-(800) 892-0775 The World Has Been Forever Changed. “Covid-19 has disrupted our social and economic order at lightning speed and on a scale that we have not seen in living memory.” — Kristalina Georgieva - Managing Director of the IMF The notion that the U.S. economy, businesses, and households will return to normal in 2021 is not only wishful thinking, it reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of the degree of disruption caused by the economic and social events of 2020. The financial shock caused by COVID-19 was historic. The Federal Reserve printed massive amounts of money to support its deficit spending which included unprecedented securities purchases, loans to banks and corporations, small business assistance, and direct payments to American families. But millions remain unemployed, and experts suggest the recovery will be slower than previous downturns because the contraction of 2020 was unlike anything the U.S. or the world has ever seen. COVID-19 has driven global debt to record highs paralyzing economies across the globe. American households continue to grapple with unemployment, uncertainty, social distancing, shutdowns, and the struggles of remote learning. Experts predict that some U.S. jobs will never come back as various sectors of the economy have been forever changed. Inflation is also poised to return, and its effects could be exacerbated by a new President that plans to raise taxes and re-regulate the energy the labor sectors at a greater cost to consumers. And as lockdowns ease and the stay- at-home economy shifts, look for a massive economic disruption, as the most exuberant stock rally in history could finally tumble back down to earth.

Today, artists and mints worldwide openly compete for one of the Krause Coin of the Year categories. The announcement of the Coin of the Year is one of the highlights of the annual World Money Fair, and the winner is internationally celebrated. Any remaining mintage of the winner quickly sells out and coin values rise dramatically on the secondary market. This is, indeed, solid evidence of the global acceptance, standing and success of the annual award. The Coin of the Year Award had a humble origin as a pet project of Krause Publications’ founder Chester “Chet” Krause and former Krause Publications’ President and CEO Clifford “Cliff” Mishler. By highlighting medallic art with merit, Mishler hoped to encourage world mints to improve the art of coins. Few could have imagined how the brainchild of these two pioneering men would be so well received today.
