Há catorze anos, graças à vontade feroz XIII Festival da União dos Teatros da Europa desse genial homem de teatro, o meu caro amigo Giorgio coincide este ano com a quarta edição do Strehler, assisti ao nascimento da União dos Teatros da O PoNTI – Porto. Natal. Teatro. Internacional. Europa, associação a que tenho hoje a honra de presidir. Explorará e confrontará o teatro de ontem – de Homero, De ano para ano, a União soube sempre renovar-se a fim Molière e António José da Silva – com o teatro moderno de engrandecer essa ideia de que a construção da Europa de Eugène Ionesco, Tennessee Williams, Bertolt Brecht passa necessariamente pela Arte em geral e pelo Teatro e August Strindberg, inclusive nas suas formas mais de Arte em particular.
