Abstract The Bachelor’s thesis titled „Spanish News Agency EFE“ is dedicated to/deals with the in- ternational news agency EFE. The thesis defines the news agency in general, as well as its subsequent divisions. The author further explores the history of EFE and its foreign reach. The control authority and their competencies, financial sources, internal standards, and co- dices, which the agency follows are described in detail. The paper aims to analyze the current news offer, as well as to point out that the EFE is on the border of an international and global agency. The content of the work is also dedicated to a comparison of the production of the Spanish EFE and the Czech News Agency. The conclusion summarizes the most important findings. Třetí a obsáhlá kapitola přibližuje současnou produkci a další nabídky EFE. Součástí této kapitoly je i komparace produkce španělské EFE a České tiskové kanceláře (ČTK).

The Case of Swiss Banks François-Xavier Delaloye¤ Michel A. Habiby Alexandre Zieglerz Abstract We use an early episode of negotiations between Switzerland and the European Union to investigate the value of banking secrecy for four Swiss banks: two universal banks and two private banks. We nd that the value of banking secrecy to private banks is large, accounting for at least 8 to 14% of their market value. Perhaps surprisingly, banking secrecy appears to account for only a very small fraction of the market value of the universal banks. Policy regimes on prostitution differ drastically between countries. In recent years, there have been two opposing trends regarding the reform of prostitution laws. Some countries, such as Germany and the Netherlands, have moved towards legalisation and normalisation of the sex industry. Prostitution is thereby regarded as a normal trade and feminist supporters of this model focus mainly on legal rights and improved working conditions for people who sell sex. In contrast, other countries, including Sweden, Norway, Iceland and most recently France, have adopted a policy regime based on the assumption that prostitution per se is a form of violence against women and should thus be eradicated. In Switzerland, prostitution has been de facto legalised since 1942 and the cantons and municipalities can adopt their own policies regarding the regulation of the industry. The City of Zurich adopted a new Prostitution Industry Regulation in 2011, which brought a number of changes regarding licencing procedures and zoning laws for street prostitution and brothels.
