A4-Formatted Word Doc, Press Release, Spanish, Editable Text El Partido contra la Pobreza del PNUD recauda 370 000 euros para los esfuerzos de recuperación tras el Ebola Ginebra / St-Etienne 26 de mayo de 2015 – el XII Partido contra la Pobreza disputado el pasado mes de abril en St. Etienne (Francia) que acogió a 33.913 espectadores, recaudó 370 000 euros para ayudar a las naciones de África Occidental a recuperarse de la crisis del virus del Ébola. Así se ha anunciado tras reunir todos los ingresos obtenidos de la venta de billetes, los derechos de difusión y el patrocinio del evento del 20 de abril. Dos terceras partes de la recaudación se destinarán a ayudar a los esfuerzos de recuperación de los países más afectados por la epidemia —Guinea, Liberia y Sierra Leona— mientras que la Asociación del club, ASSE Coeur-Vert, que impulsa proyectos sociales en Saint-Etienne, recibirá el tercio restante. "Con el trabajo en equipo y la solidaridad, el poder del juego global puede ayudar al esfuerzo por combatir una de las enfermedades más devastadoras de los últimos tiempos” dijo Gina Casar, Secretaria General Adjunta y Administradora Asociada del PNUD. “Los países afectados siguen necesitando el apoyo de la comunidad internacional para llegar a cero casos de Ébola, mantenerlos al cero y avanzar en el camino a la recuperación ”. El PNUD está liderando la respuesta de las Naciones Unidas a favor de la recuperación tras el Ébola y coordina las iniciativas de recuperación temprana en los tres países. El programa de las Naciones Unidas para el desarrollo (PNUD) está a la vanguardia de la lucha contra el Ébola, movilizando a las comunidades contra la enfermedad, ayudando a las personas a recuperarse de la crisis y a los gobiernos en sus planes de recuperación. Se utilizarán los fondos del Partido contra la Pobreza para ayudar a "reconstruir mejor" en los tres países donde continúan el Ébola y sus efectos. Los fondos ayudarán a las comunidades vulnerables a recuperarse de los efectos de la enfermedad, centrándose en los supervivientes y las familias que perdieron a familiares, ayudando a los niños huérfanos, así como aquellos que han perdido sus medios de subsistencia como consecuencia de la crisis Los 11 partidos contra la pobreza celebrados desde 2003 han recaudado casi 4 millones de USD destinados a apoyar proyectos de reconstrucción tras los terremotos de Haití y Pakistán, la recuperación tras el tifón de Filipinas, socorro tras la hambruna del cuerno de África y de lucha contra la pobreza en África, Asia, Europa Oriental y América Latina. Más de 33.000 fans llenaron el estadio Geoffroy-Guichard de Saint Etienne para ver al equipo del PNUD dirigido por Ronaldo y Zinédine Zidane jugar contra un equipo de estrellas del AS St Etienne. El partido, que terminó en 9-7 a favor del equipo de St Etienne reunió una galaxia de talentos del fútbol como Clarence Seedorf, Gianluca Zambrotta, David Trezeguet, Eric Abidal, Frank y Ronald de Boer y Christian Karembeu. El equipo de St Etienne estaba compuesto de jugadores actuales y ex jugadores del AS St Etienne incluyendo a Alex, Kurt Zouma y Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
