Netball NSW is the peak state sporting organisation responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of netball throughout and is affiliated to Netball . SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL – THE GIANTS AND THE SWIFTS

2017 began a new chapter in Australian Netball history with the introduction of the Suncorp Super Netball, the top Australian domestic competition which expanded Netball NSW to two elite teams; the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball.

GIANTS Netball is owned and operated by Netball NSW, in a strategic alliance with GWS GIANTS (AFL). GIANTS Netball was formed on the basis of providing more opportunities for the members in NSW, including: to represent their state and club at netball’s highest domestic level; and provide opportunities for fans and members to watch the world’s best netballers live in action.

The Giants have quickly developed a strong position in the competitive NSW sporting landscape already competing in Finals and enjoying excellent membership and drawing great crowds to Qudos Bank Arena.

NSW Swifts have a long and proud history representing NSW since 2007. They have multiple appearances and are the current Suncorp Super Netball Premiers after defying the odds to register a thumping 64-47 Grand Final victory over the in September 2019. The Swifts were lauded for a young roster boasting some of internationals netball’s most promising players and the Premiership was secured with a scintillating brand of Netball.

Both GIANTS Netball and NSW Swifts are committed to being strong role models for young netballers around NSW, Australia and the world, and for representing their teams to the best of their ability. The clubs strive to be a competitive force in every year of the league and be a top four team each and every and compete for the SSN title. EXECUTIVE GENERAL MANAGER COMMERCIAL & MARKETING

The Executive General Manager Commercial & Marketing is responsible for defining and leading the strategy and execution of initiatives to generate commercial revenue and growth across all departments of Netball NSW.

Reporting to the CEO, the role will provide overarching direction and have tactical accountabilities across all business development activity. This will include; commercial partnerships, an integrated marketing & digital program, and all commercial and marketing strategy including merchandise and membership.

The role will need to foster and maintain key partner and stakeholder relations, both internally and externally. The ability to provide overall management and strong, collaborative leadership across all business areas is crucial. In addition, this role will play an integral part in ensuring commercial integration between Netball NSW and the two NSW Suncorp Super Netball teams. REPORTING STRUCTURE

This is a new role within the Senior Leadership team and will be a key role in the Netball NSW executive team. Reporting to the CEO the role will manage a Corporate Partnerships Manager and a Marketing & Fan Activations Manager but will also have significant indirect ownerships of all external consumer and commercial activities.
