As required we completed a full season of “no breaches” - that is 100% compliance to the requirements of our surf life saving council agreements. This shows that our training, our procedures, our systems and overall our patrol management is working well. For all this to happen it doesn’t just fall in place, it requires the involvement of everyone, your committee, the education and training department, Club and vice captain, Patrol captains and of course the patrolling members all coming together and working as teams to get this result. It was a great effort particularly when you include the changes in the type of challenges we are now seeing, since the completion of the promenade upgrade there has been a huge influx of patronage using the Bathers Way, people attending our resident cafe, and a significant increase in beach goers. Apart from the usual beach incidents we are used to attending and responding to with the added public usage of the Bathers Way we are now regularly experiencing injuries away from the sand around the promenade areas,
