Greece will hope to end a disappointing UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying campaign on a high note in Piraeus on 11 October – and maintain an unbeaten run in competitive home games against a Hungary already assured of at least a play-off place. • Greece, still without a win or a home goal in Group F, are already guaranteed to finish bottom of the section. Hungary will finish at least third and would qualify automatically should they better the result Romania manage in their final fixture against the Faroe Islands. A draw will also take Hungary through should Romania lose, due to their superior head-to-head record. Previous meetings • The sides drew 0-0 in March in the first match of Sergio Markarián's brief spell as Greece coach. • Greece's record in 18 senior meetings with Hungary is W8 D6 L4. They are unbeaten in six competitive home games against Hungary (W3 D3). • Hungary are without a victory in their last five competitive encounters with Greece (D2 L3), but won 3-2 in a friendly fixture in Budapest on 24 May 2008. • Greece's heaviest defeat of all time came against Hungary – an 11-1 loss in Budapest in 1938 FIFA World Cup qualifying. Form guide • Greece have yet to score at home in Group F, having lost all four of their home matches in the pool. • Hungary are unbeaten on the road in this section (W2 D2) having scored once in each of their four Group F away fixtures. Disciplinary • The latest booking list is available here: http://www.uefa.org/disciplinary/disciplinary-cases/booking-lists/index.html. Trivia and links • Greek clubs' record in 25 UEFA competition meetings with Hungarian sides is W9 D6 L10. • In 21 encounters in UEFA's age-group competitions, Hungary have the edge: W9 D5 L7. The nations have also been paired in 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying.

He promptly moved into coaching, starting in the youth sections of Athinaikos the following year before taking charge of the senior squad in 2005, moving on to Ilysiakos 12 months later. • Tsanas spent 2008/09 working as a scout for AEK Athens before joining the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) as a coach. He was appointed assistant to Giorgos Georgiadis with the Under-19 team; a year later the duo took over the U21 squad. • In October 2011 Tsanas succeeded Leonidas Vokolos as U19 head coach after Vokolos had become Fernando Santos's assistant in the senior squad. He led the side to the 2012 UEFA European U19 Championship final, losing 1- 0 to Spain in Tallinn. • Tsanas then switched to the U21s, also getting the Greece team to the FIFA U-20 World Cup for the first time – guiding his side to the last 16 at the tournament in Turkey. • In August 2015 he took over the reins of the senior national squad after the departure of Sergio Markarián. Bernd Storck Date of birth: 25 January 1963 Nationality: German Playing career: VfL Bochum 1848, Borussia Dortmund Coaching career: VfB Stuttgart (assistant), Hertha BSC Berlin (assistant), VfL Wolfsburg (assistant), FK Partizan (assistant), Borussia Dortmund (assistant), FC Almaty, Kazakhstan Under-21s, Kazakhstan, Olympiacos FC (youth), Hungary Under-20s, Hungary • Made his Bundesliga debut for Bochum at the age of 19 and spent two seasons at the club before joining local rivals Dortmund in 1983. • A regular in the Dortmund defence for the next six seasons, he helped the club to victory in the German Cup in his final campaign, 1988/89; ended his playing career with eight goals in 171 Bundesliga appearances. • Joined forces with leading German coach Jürgen Röber and acted as his assistant at Stuttgart, Hertha, Wolfsburg, Partizan and Dortmund. • Moved abroad midway through 2008 to take charge of Kazakh top-flight club Almaty; was also appointed simultaneously as the Kazakhstan U21 coach. • Named the Kazakhstan senior team's interim coach following the dismissal of Dutchman Arno Pijpers in autumn 2008. His first game in charge was a 5-1 defeat by England at Wembley in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier, but he was subsequently installed as the permanent head coach. • However, Storck was sacked in October 2010 after presiding over four losses at the start of UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying. In July 2015, he took charge of Hungary, having led the national side at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand the previous month. In 2013/14, he was at the helm as Olympiacos drew four times and lost twice in the inaugural UEFA Youth League group stage.

:: Team facts

EURO finals: The UEFA European Championship was a four-team event in 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972 and 1976 (when the preliminary round and quarter-finals were considered part of qualifying).

From 1980 it was expanded to an eight-team finals and remained in that format in 1984, 1988 and 1992 until 1996, when the 16-team format was adopted. UEFA EURO 2016 was the first tournament to be played as a 24-team finals.

Records of inactive countries A number of UEFA associations have been affected by dissolution or splits of member associations. For statistical purposes, the records of these inactive countries have been allocated elsewhere: therefore, all Soviet Union matches are awarded to Russia; all West Germany – but not East Germany – matches are awarded to Germany; all Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro matches are awarded to Serbia; all Czechoslovakia matches are allocated to both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Abandoned/forfeited matches For statisical purposes, when a match has been started and then abandoned but later forfeited, the result on the pitch at the time of abandonment is counted. Matches that never started and were either cancelled or forfeited are not included in the overall statistics.
