The 25th anniversary season of the New York Virtuoso Singers at Merkin Concert Hall, (129 West 67th St. btw Broadway and Amsterdam in Manhattan) continues on March 3 at Kaufman Music Center’s Merkin Concert Hall with commissioned works by 13 major American composers: Richard Wernick, Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, , , Mark Adamo, Richard Danielpour, Augusta Read Thomas, Thea Musgrave, Joseph Schwantner, , Roger Davidson, David Felder and .

In celebration of their 25th anniversary, The New York Virtuoso Singers commissioned 25 of American’s most important composers to write new choral works. On October 21, 2012, the group premiered works by , George Tsontakis, , David Del Tredici, Shulamit Ran, John Harbison, , Stephen Hartke, Fred Lerdahl, Chen Yi, Bruce Adolphe and . They will conclude the season with 13 premieres on March 3, 2013.
