"Friday afte.rnoon marked the end of a 24 hour vigil that started Thursday," said junior Air Force Cadet Jamie Solis. "For the 24 hours, we had cadets voluntarily sign up for half hour shifts. In the last shift there we had four cadets reprnsenting tlH' Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines which was a nice change from last year when only one cadet stood the last shift," added Solis. Tlw ceremony began with the Air Force Choir singing the Star Spangled Banner including a prayPr by Father Rocca, rector of the Basilica. The ceremony also included an address by keynote speaker, Col.
