I will invite all our married couples to renew their marriage vows after the homily. I will pray over these couples asking Our Lord to bless them and rekindle in them the love and grace that was bestowed on them the day they entered the Sacrament of Matrimony. After the Vigil Mass, there will be a reception for the married couples, with hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, and soft drinks. Each wife will receive a rose, also. My intention is to honor and celebrate the sacredness of the Sacrament of Matrimony and make this night very special for our married couples. This is the 5th year that we have had this celebration, and it has been so well received. Reserve this date on your calendar, whether you were recently married or are celebrating your 50th wedding anniversary. This will be your special night out. If you are celebrating a milestone marriage anniversary of 25, 50, or more years, please let me know by calling the rectory at 215-822-0179. The Capstone for the Expansion of our Church Narthex You may have noticed that we have a beautiful new bronze-like sculpture of our Parish Patron, St. Jude Thaddaeus, that was mounted over the new entrance to the Church just before Christmas. This is the Capstone for the expansion of our Church Narthex. What you may not know is that this stunning work of art was designed and created by Mr. Joe DeVito – a long-time parishioner and notable commercial artist. I want to thank Joe for fashioning this impressive representation of our patron saint that will forever define the gateway to our beautiful Church Narthex. In addition, I have approved offering this exquisite medallion as a memorial opportunity for $50,000 that can be sponsored either in one sponsorship or in shares, with five shares at $10,000 per share. Please contact Deacon John Riordan at the rectory or visit our website, stjudechalfont.org/renovations and click on the memorial booklet for more information. God bless! Seperti yang disinggung 1Korean Culture and Information Service. 2011. Contemporary Korea No.1; The Korean Wave: A New Pop Culture Phenomenon, hal 11 58 sebelumnya, Korea Selatan sendiri harus mengalami masa-masa kehancuran akibat perang yang dialaminya hingga masa krisis moneter International Monetary Fund (IMF) di tahun 1990-an.

  • The Living Flame of Love- St. John of the Cross
The Living Flame Of Love by St. John of the Cross Translation by: Kieran Kavanaugh, OCD and Otilio Rodriguez, OCD, Rev. Ed. Copyright 1991 ICS Publications. Permission is hereby granted for any non-commercial use, if this copyright notice is included. ● Introduction To The Living Flame Of Love ● Prologue ● STANZA 1 ● STANZA 1 (24-36) ● STANZA 2 ● STANZA 2 (21-36) ● STANZA 3 ● STANZA 3 (25-46) ● STANZA 3 (47-67) ● STANZA 3 (68-85) ● STANZA 4 Back to Index Introduction To The Living Flame Of Love The Poem The stanzas of The Living Flame of Love sing of an elevated union within the intimate depths of the spirit. The subject matter is exalted, so much so that John dares speak of it only with a deeply recollected soul. The image of flame, working on the wood, dispelling the moisture, turning it black, then giving it the qualities of fire, appeared first in the Dark Night. In the Canticle it turns up again in the serene night toward the end of the poem, a flame that is painless, comforting, and conformed to God. This flame, John told us there, is the love of the Holy Spirit. Now, having grown hotter and sometimes flaring up, it impels the Carmelite friar to write more verses about the sublime communion taking place in his deepest center. At this depth he lives in both stable serenity and exalted activity; the tone is prolonged admiration and holy ardor. The six-line length of each stanza, the sounds, the rhythm, convey these characteristics. All the verses of the poem point to the same profundity; there is no progressive movement from stage to stage.
