Dirt Track for Sale on Hall's Hill, Grantham v.2.2 01727 817479 www.vantageland.co.uk Dirt Track for Sale on Hall’s Hill, Grantham Land off Cold Harbour Lane, Grantham, NG31 7TW Dirt track for sale suitable for bmx well situated near Grantham with easy access from Stainby, Nottingham, Peterborough, the A52, A607 and A1 An extremely rare opportunity to own a parcel of land measuring over 7 acres, which is already well established as a dirt track suitable for bmx. The land is secluded atop of Hall’s Hill and characterised by numerous mounds and jumps. The sale of this land also offers buyers a long-term capital investment due to its exceptional location, infrastructure and superb network of transport links; making the site easily accessible from nearby towns and villages. The site lies on the eastern edge of Grantham; a modern town that is highly populated and which serves as a central hub to many of the surrounding towns and villages. These, together with the larger cities of Nottingham and Peterborough, can be easily reached by rail or road, with Grantham perfectly located on the A1 trunk road that connects the site with London. Grantham lies within the district of South Kesteven, which has the highest number of people in the county aged under 19 and between 25-49. This youthful population has created a demand for sporting activities, which can be found in nearby locations. The site is available freehold. • Groundwater in Jurassic Carbonates
Groundwater in Jurassic carbonates Field Excursion to the Lincolnshire Limestone: Karst development, source protection and landscape history 25 June 2015 Tim Atkinson (University College London) with contributions from Andrew Farrant (British Geological Survey) Introduction 1 The Lincolnshire Limestone is an important regional aquifer. Pumping stations at Bourne and other locations along the eastern edge of the Fens supply water to a large population in South Lincolnshire. Karst permeability development and rapid groundwater flow raise issues of groundwater source protection, one of themes of this excursion. A second theme concerns the influence of landscape development on the present hydrogeology. Glacial erosion during the Middle Pleistocene re-oriented river patterns and changed the aquifer’s boundary conditions. Some elements of the modern groundwater flow pattern may be controlled by karstic permeability inherited from pre-glacial conditions, whereas other flow directions are a response to the aquifer’s current boundary conditions. Extremely high permeability is an important feature in part of the confined zone of the present-day aquifer and the processes that may have produced this are a third theme of the excursion. The sites to be visited will demonstrate the rapid groundwater flow paths that have been proved by water tracing, whereas the topography and landscape history will be illustrated by views during a circular tour from the aquifer outcrop to the edge of the Fenland basin and back. Quarry exposures will be used to show the karstification of the limestone, both at outcrop and beneath a cover of mudrock. Geology and Topography The Middle Jurassic Lincolnshire Limestone attains 30 m thickness in the area between Colsterworth and Bourne and dips very gently eastwards.

  • 656 16 Fish Population Survey Report
Fish population summary report River Welland, 2017 This report provides a brief summary of results from recent fish population surveys on the River Welland between Market Harborough and Spalding. The surveys were carried out to assess the health of the river and enable successful management of our principal fisheries. Seaton weir rock ramp fish pass (part of several habitat improvements on the upper river). Originating team Lincolnshire & Northamptonshire Analysis & Reporting Team Author(s) Jake Reeds Date January 2018 Summary • Ten electric fishing sites were surveyed during 2017 along the upper Welland (above Peakirk). The wide river downstream of this between Crowland Bridge and Spalding was surveyed using hydroacoustic technology during the night when fish are more active. • Sixteen species of fish were recorded and a total of 1110 fish were captured for measurement in the upper river electric fishing sites. • Chub and dace were the most widespread species, being recorded at seven and six sites respectively. • Roach were the most numerous species. Site locations: © Environment Agency copyright 2018. All rights reserved. Ordnance Survey licence number 100024198. Sites varied between 100 - 200m in length, each site was isolated using stop nets at the upstream and downstream limit. It was then electric fished twice with fish being placed in a recovery tank immediately after capture. All fish are then identified for species, measured to fork length and returned to the river. Survey results - summary Fish density for fish greater than 99mm in length (fish/100mˉ²) from the electric fishing sites undertaken is shown below. Fish lengths for all sizes are given to indicate the overall size range found at the site.

  • The Uffington Group of Churches Benefice Profile and Statement Of
The Bourne Uffington Group of Churches A6121 Benefice Profile A15 and Wilsthorpe Statement of Needs Braceborough A6121 Greatford Market Deeping Barholm West Deeping A1 A1175 Uffington Tallington Stamford A606 Introduction Thank you for taking an interest in the Uffington Group of Churches. If you are reading this to see whether you might be interested in becoming our next Rector, we hope you will find it helpful. If you are reading this for any other reason, we hope you will find this profile interesting, and if you are in the area, or might just be passing through, we hope that you might wish to come and see us. We hope that our new Rector will be able to inspire us in three key areas of our discipleship growth plans: drawing more of our villagers, especially from the missing generations, to respond to the message of the gospel (ie making more Christ-like Christians, as Bishop Edward King might have said); enhancing the faith of current members of our congregations (responding to the need for more Christ-like Christians, as Bishop Edward King did say); ensuring that our seven churches are not only kept open and functioning, but are made more attractive focal points for the lives of our parishioners and communities. We believe that such a person is likely to be: someone who will prayerfully seek to preach, teach and share scriptural truth; willing to grasp the nature of rural ministry; able to preserve the identity of each parish while maintaining coherence of the Group; comfortable with a range of worship and broad expression of faith; able to develop and communicate an inspirational vision for building God’s work amongst all ages in the Group and in each parish; able to lead, cultivate and enthuse teams of volunteers involved in the ministry, administration and upkeep of the seven churches; open, approachable and supportive, and willing to be visible at community events in all the villages; keen to guide and support the Christian ethos of the Uffington Church of England Primary School, being a regular visitor to the school and ex-officio governor.
