2015 Disney Premium Plan 1/1/15-12/31/15 Valid for Arrivals 2015 Disney Premium Plan 1/1/15-12/31/15 Welcome to the Disney Premium Plan. Designed to make your vacation more relaxing, the Disney Premium Plan offers you a magical combination of fun and convenience. You’ll enjoy a complement of fantastic dining, recreation and entertainment options. This plan is full of possibilities! Dining Most of the restaurant locations in Disney Theme Parks, Disney Water Parks, the Downtown Disney® Area and Disney Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort hotels accept the Disney Premium Plan. A list of these locations is available on pages 3 to 6. Number of Meals During Your Package Stay The Disney Premium Plan includes one (1) breakfast, lunch and dinner and two (2) snacks per person, per night of your package stay for everyone in the party ages 3 and over, beginning after check-in to your Disney Resort hotel. The plan also includes one (1) Rapid Fill Resort refillable drink mug per person that is valid for the length of your stay (eligible for refills at self-service beverage islands at Quick-Service locations at any Disney Resort hotel). Using Your Meals • You can redeem more than your allotted meals or snacks per night, as you wish, until your total number of meal/ snack entitlements is depleted. • All unused meals and snacks and the ability to use your Rapid Fill Resort refillable mug expire at midnight on your package reservation check-out date. • You can also find plenty of locations where you can redeem your snacks - just look for this symbol on the menu boards at Quick-Service restaurants, most outdoor food carts and select merchandise locations to identify what items are eligible snacks. Certain items are not included in any dining plan such as: • Alcoholic Beverages • Items that are more than a single serving (such as a box of doughnuts or a jar of peanut butter) • Items (such as popcorn or drinks) that are served in a Souvenir Container • Items that are sold from Recreation Rental Counters • Items that are considered Merchandise (such as Bottle Toppers, Glow Cubes and Bottle Straps) • Special Dining Events with special menus offered at certain Table-Service locations The Disney Premium Plan and its components may not be redeemed for cash in whole or in part, sold separately, transferred or refunded. Theme Park admission is required for selected items/activities. Advance reservations are strongly recommended and may be required for some Table-Service restaurants participating in the Disney Premium Plan. Some facilities, activities, tours and recreation equipment rental may require advance reservations. Use is subject to availability and the local rules and regulations of the operating area. Operating hours, menus, entertainment, Characters, participating locations, components and terms are subject to change without notice. Disney Premium Plan features are based on the length of your package stay at your Disney Resort hotel. The owners of the Walt Disney World® Resort shall not be liable or responsible for the non-utilization of Disney Premium Plan components due to refurbishing, capacity, inclement weather, or any other circumstance beyond their control. Continued on Next Page Disney dining plan locations are subject to change without notice or liability. Theme Park admission is required for some dining locations. Operational hours may vary. 1 Redeeming Your Meals • Present your valid Disney Resort ID (either a MagicBand or card) to the server or cashier at the time a meal or snack is purchased and specify the number of meals or snacks being redeemed for Disney Premium Plan Guests ages 10+ and the number of Meals or Snacks being redeemed for Disney Premium Plan Guests ages 3-9. • Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available. • Gratuities are not included except at Dinner Shows, Private In-Room Dining and Cinderella’s Royal Table. • An additional form of payment is needed if you add a gratuity and have not provided a credit card at check-in to charge incidentals and other expenses to your room. • An 18% gratuity will automatically be added to your bill for parties of six or more. • An automatic gratuity charge may also be added to your bill for certain items you order that are not included in the Disney Premium Plan (e.g. alcoholic beverages). • Choosing items from a separate prix fixe menu offered at certain locations requires payment of a surcharge in addition to redeeming a meal entitlement. • The Disney Premium Plan is unavailable for Guests under the age of 3, but they may share from an adult plate at no charge, or a meal may be purchased from the menu. The price of the meal will be added to your bill. Tracking Your Meals • Your Meal usage will be tracked electronically to your reservation. The example below illustrates a party with two Guests ages 10+ and two Guests ages 3-9, who purchased a three-night/four-day dining package and are using one of their meal entitlements each: Number of Number of Guests in Party Total Meals Remaining Meals Redeemed Meals 2 Guests age 10 and over: Meals 18 2 16 2 Guests age 3-9: Meals 18 2 16 Total: 36 4 32 • After you dine, your party’s remaining entitlements for meals will be printed on the receipt. • You can also contact your Resort Concierge or Guest Relations at any time to obtain your remaining entitlements. • The Immersive Theme Park
THE IMMERSIVE THEME PARK Analyzing the Immersive World of the Magic Kingdom Theme Park JOOST TER BEEK (S4155491) MASTERTHESIS CREATIVE INDUSTRIES Radboud University Nijmegen Supervisor: C.C.J. van Eecke 22 July 2018 Summary The aim of this graduation thesis The Immersive Theme Park: Analyzing the Immersive World of the Magic Kingdom Theme Park is to try and understand how the Magic Kingdom theme park works in an immersive sense, using theories and concepts by Lukas (2013) on the immersive world and Ndalianis (2004) on neo-baroque aesthetics as its theoretical framework. While theme parks are a growing sector in the creative industries landscape (as attendance numbers seem to be growing and growing (TEA, 2016)), research on these parks seems to stay underdeveloped in contrast to the somewhat more accepted forms of art, and almost no attention was given to them during the writer’s Master’s courses, making it seem an interesting choice to delve deeper into this subject. Trying to reveal some of the core reasons of why the Disney theme parks are the most visited theme parks in the world, and especially, what makes them so immersive, a profound analysis of the structure, strategies, and design of the Magic Kingdom theme park using concepts associated with the neo-baroque, the immersive world and the theme park is presented through this thesis, written from the perspective of a creative master student who has visited these theme parks frequently over the past few years, using further literature, research, and critical thinking on the subject by others to underly his arguments.
