WORLD: + TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS

Fast Pass+ at

Disney FastPass+ service lets you reserve access to select attractions, entertainment and more! With the purchase of a ticket or annual pass, you can start making selections as early as 30 days before you arrive, or up to 60 days (huge benefit!) before check-in when you have a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation. There is no extra charge for this complimentary benefit. Before you start, be sure to link your vacation package, or tickets, or your annual pass to your MyDisneyExperience account. Also make sure to add the people you are planning with to your Friends and Family list.

You can book up to 3 FastPass+ sixty days before your WDW check in date, starting at 7am in your MyDisneyExperience account. Tink’s recommends making your FastPass+ selections early in order to have a greater variety of options to choose from. After you have used up your first three FastPasses, you can get a 4th, use that up, you can get a 5th, etc. If your ticket includes a Park Hopper Option, after you use your initial FastPass+ selections at the first park, you’ll be able to make additional FastPass+ selections (one at a time) at the second park you visit that day, up to park closing. Just visit a kiosk or use your mobile device to make the additional selections.

Note that kiosks allow FastPass+ selections only for the park where the kiosk is located, but you can view and cancel any of your FastPass+ selections, regardless of location. For greater range of choices, make your FastPass+ selections early. Please remember that you can still experience these attractions by going in the regular queue if you don’t get the FastPass! All attractions and Character Greetings provide standby entrances so you are free to decide as you go, even if you don’t have a FastPass.

Magic at Your Fingertips! Another word of advice: make sure to download the MyDisneyExperience mobile app on your smartphones as you can adjust them while you are on vacation! Features on the app help you to plan and play while you are at Walt Disney World. Here is the link to read all about it. https:// disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/mobile-apps/

While you are making your fast pass selections in your MyDisneyExperience account, please realize that computer glitches can (and do!) happen. While we are unable to assist you with computer issues, we are able to give you the number you need to call to speak to a Disney support technician. That number is 407-939-3471 -- if you want to bypass the prompts, hit option 1 and then option 3.

Plans change? You can modify your FastPass+ selections at any time on the MyDisneyExperience planning page, with the MyDisneyExperience mobile app, at your Disney Resort hotel lobby concierge, or at the FastPass+ kiosks located throughout all four theme parks.

How do you use the FastPass? When you arrive during your scheduled FastPass+ arrival time, all you need to do is to proceed to the FastPass entrance and touch your MagicBand or card to a sensor called a touch point. Each member of your party with the FastPass will have to individually touch their MagicBand to the touch point, so everyone should be sure to have their MagicBand or card available. The attractions that have a FastPass usually offer a one-hour arrival window. Other experiences like shows and parades may require you to arrive during a more specific timeframe. : Book a FastPass!

Magic Kingdom does not have a tiering system (like Hollywood Studios and ) which means you can choose any ride in the Fast Pass+ Selection Guide. Excellent choices for using FastPasses include the three mountain rides (Splash, Space, and Big Thunder) and also Seven Dwarf Mine Train and Peter Pan’s Flight. The first FastPass Tink’s advises trying to obtain is Seven Dwarf Mine Train.

***************

Seven Dwarf Mine Train: . This is the newest attraction at Magic Kingdom and the regular lines are known for being extremely long. Height restriction: 38 inches or taller.

Peter Pan’s Flight: Fantasyland. This attraction has always had very long wait times because it is such a small venue.

PAGE 2 OF 10 TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS WALT DISNEY WORLD: FASTPASS+ TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS

Princess Fairytale Hall: Fantasyland. After June 16th, and from Frozen move from Princess Fairytale Hall over to their new home in Royal Sommerhaus in the Pavilion Epcot. Even with A&E absent from Magic Kingdom, Tink’s advises getting FastPasses here if you have someone wanting to meet and greet with the princesses (like and ) as the regular lines can be long.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: . Depending on the time of year, this coaster can have very long waits. Height restriction: 40 inches or taller.

Space Mountain: . is one of the most popular attractions at Magic Kingdom. Wait times in the regular line can be really long. Height restriction: Must be 44 inches or taller.

Enchanted Tales with Belle: Fantasyland. This attraction is great because you get to meet Belle and experience a “show” all in one.

Haunted Mansion: Liberty Square. Tink’s loves this one -- but it can be dark and a bit scary for some youngsters. The ride itself is slow. Lines can be long, depending on the time of day.

Pirates of the Caribbean. . Another favorite. Lines can be long so you might want to get a FastPass for this. There are a few small drops, but no height restrictions.

Splash Mountain. Frontierland. Definitely get a FastPass for this one if you can. Prepare to get wet too as there are some big drops. Height restriction: must be 40 inches or taller.

Jungle Cruise. Adventureland. This is a classic ride and the jokes by the boat’s captain are corny. Lines can be long for this one; you might want to get a FastPass for it if you are on Day Two of being in the Magic Kingdom.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Tomorrowland. This is a fun attraction; sometimes the lines can get long so if you are at Magic Kingdom for a second day, then Tink’s might advise grabbing it. If you arrive at the park early, you can probably hop on it without needing a FastPass.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Fantasyland. This is a great choice for using a FastPass if you have young children and you will be touring Magic Kingdom for two or more days. The queue has lots of things for little kids to do.

PAGE 3 OF 10 TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS WALT DISNEY WORLD: FASTPASS+ TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS

Magic Kingdom: Skip the FastPass!

It’s a Small World: Fantasyland. The line moves pretty quickly for this one. If you notice a high wait time, check back in an hour or so and you may find a much shorter stand-by wait time.

Mad Tea Party: Fantasyland. Tink’s rarely sees a long line for this attraction, especially in the evening. It is right between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland so consider doing it as you move between those two areas of the park. This is a spinning ride, so avoid it if someone has a weak stomach.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic: Fantasyland. The queue for this is almost entirely indoors where it is air-conditioned. If you have to wait for an attraction, pick to wait in air conditioned lines.

Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor: Tomorrowland. See reasoning for Mickey’s PhilharMagic and soak up at that AC while you can.

Barnstormer: Fantasyland. This is a great “mini” coaster for little ones. The line tends to move fairly rapidly. Height restriction: 35 inches.

Dumbo: Fantasyland. There are two rides which doubled the capacity. In Tink’s opinion you never need a FastPass for this ride. And if there is a wait, also has a covered queue with interactive elements so that the kids are entertained.

Ariel’s Grotto: Fantasyland. This is right next to the Under the Sea ride. Ariel greets guests from a seashell throne (great photo opportunity) in her Treasure Room The lines are hit and miss. If it looks long from the outside, skip it and go back later.

Tomorrowland Speedway. Tomorrowland. Tink’s suggests only using a FastPass for this if you are at Magic Kingdom for two days or more. The lines are hit or miss -- for a shorter wait if you aren’t using a FastPass, turn right off the bridge and head to the first loading area rather than continuing to the second one. It is a lot of fun for the little ones and many adults enjoy it too. Height Restriction: Must be 32 inches.

Mickey Mouse Meet and Greet and also Meet and Greet. in the Town Square Theatre. Mickey talks! This is a great interactive opportunity with the Big Cheese. You can also meet Tinker Bell at Town Square Theatre too. (Separate wait lines). Tink’s recommends doing this first thing in the morning or towards the end of the day.

Hollywood Studios: Book the FastPass!

Hollywood Studios has the tiering system. Choose 1 FastPass from Group A and then 2 FastPasses from Group B. Mania! is the most important FastPass to get. In the 2nd tier, Tink’s advice is to grab Tours or Tower of Terror.

If you plan on seeing Fantasmic, then a FastPass is a great choice during the busy season. Otherwise, you could get a terrible seat or miss the show altogether. If you have a large group or if you want to be down low close to the water, get a FastPass.

If you’re concerned about getting a FastPass for Fantasmic!, consider the Fantasmic! Dining Package, which is a good option for families who are already planning to have a sit-down dinner and catch a performance of Fantasmic! What is the Fantsmic! Dining Package? If you dine at Hollywood & Vine buffet (dinner only) or at Mama Melrose’s or Brown Derby full-service restaurants, you can obtain a ticket/voucher for the members of your dining party to enter the night’s first showing of Fantasmic! without waiting in line and sit in a section of seats reserved for dining package guests. This is a reservation and must be guaranteed with a credit card at the time of booking (call Disney Dining or reserve in your MyDisneyExperience account). There is a 48-hour cancellation policy ( table service credits can be used). 30-45 minutes before the first Fantasmic! show of the night, report to the VIP seating entrance on Sunset Boulevard next to Beauty and the Beast. A cast member will collect your vouchers and direct you to the reserved seating area. If Fantasmic! is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances; you will not receive a refund or a voucher for another performance.

****************

Toy Story Mania!: Place. If you want to ride this at all (which you should, because it’s awesome and appeals to all ages) then you are definitely going to want a FastPass. This attraction is notorious for extremely long stand-by lines. Families with children too small to do thrill rides will make a beeline to TSM!, and the lines grow quickly. This should be your number one choice when booking your FastPass+ options.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Staring : Sunset Boulevard. This is the only roller coaster at Disney that goes upside down and is a must-do for any thrill seeker. Height restriction: 48 inches or taller.

PAGE 5 OF 10 TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS WALT DISNEY WORLD: FASTPASS+ TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS

Fantasmic!: Once you use up your 3 FastPass+ choices for the day, check and see if an additional FastPass+ is available for Fantasmic! You can totally see this show without a FastPass, but you will have to arrive early before the show starts. It is entirely possible to arrive 30 minutes early before and be turned away because the venue is already full -- so this is why a FastPass is helpful!

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: Sunset Boulevard. This attraction can have long waits and the FastPass+ is good choice for this one. Height Restriction: 40 inches or taller.

Star Tours - The Adventures Continue: Echo Lake: This is the perfect attraction for any lover in your group. This is another attraction that can have a long wait, so grab a FastPass+ if you can. Height restriction: 40 inches or taller.

Hollywood Studios: Skip the FastPass!

Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage: The show is cute and very well done, but as long as you get in line a little early, you can usually grab a seat. If you want to be front and center though, the FastPass would come in handy.

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular: This is a fun show that you don’t need a FastPass for as long as you do a little pre-planning and get there a little before the show starts.

Great Movie Ride. Hollywood Boulevard. The line goes fast and usually isn’t too long, so Tink’s doesn’t advise using up a precious FastPass here. Try to get into the front of the car as there are some interactive things that happen with your movie host. Some kids find parts of the ride to be a bit scary, while others think it is awesome.

For the Fist Time in Forever- A Frozen Sing-Along. This is a fun interactive experience that usually isn’t crowded so save your FastPass for something else. It is great way to sit and get off your feet for a bit.

Muppet Vision 3D. New York Street. Large theatre venue (usually easy to get into) where you take a wacky trip through the Muppet Laboratories. The show is fun and appropriate for all ages. Be aware that there is a loud ending that might scare the little ones. Sweetums, a scary-looking but friendly monster walks around the front of the theatre, so try to sit toward the front if you can.

PAGE 6 OF 10 TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS WALT DISNEY WORLD: FASTPASS+ TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS

Disney Junior Live On Stage. Soundstage 5 in the Courtyard. This is a great show for the little ones. It is usually easy to get into. Guests are seated on the floor during the show, although there is a line of benches at the right rear side of the soundstage. The kiddos can get up and dance at different times. There are some fun special effects (bubbles and confetti rain down on the audience at various points of the show). If you want to be seated near the stage, arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to showtime.

Voyage of . Animation Courtyard. Tucked away in Animation Courtyard, this 17-minute show is fun. It combines special effects, film clips, live performances and innovative puppetry. Not to be missed! The theatre holds a lot of people. The best way of seeing the show without a FastPass is to go first thing in the morning. The elevated stage makes it hard for small children seated up front to see all of the details. The middle or the rear of the theatre offers the best way to view the entire stage and all of the special effects. Animal Kingdom: Book the FastPass!

Animal Kingdom has the tiering system. Choose 1 FP from Group A and two from Group B. In Group A, there is FLight of Passage (must be 44”) and Na’vi River Journey. In Group B, since there are two choices available, if you like rollercoasters, then makes the most sense to grab. is another good choice, especially if the weather is hot. is also a must do for everyone, and it gives you the opportunity to rest your feet while you watch amazing animals pass by you. The Festival of is another great option if you want to be in a great viewing location where the kids might be selected to be involved in the show. Also in Group B is which is an amazing show at night. This might be an excellent FP to reserve!

***************

The newest experiences at Animal Kingdom include the River of Light show, and we are all anxiously awaiting the opening of Pandara -- The World of Avatar. Beginnng May 27, guests can journey to an all new land that celebrates the magic of nature. Avatar Flight of Passage allows guests (44” and taller) to soar on the back of a mountain banshee during a thrilling ride over a vast moon. And on Na’vi River Journey, guests can venture deep into a bioluminescent rainforest in search of the Na’vi Shaman of Songs. Not needing a FP is hiking through the Valley of Mo’Ara, where guests experience floating mountains, glowing fauna and flora, a native drum cricle and many other wonders. We are so looking forward to experiencing Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na’vi River Journey.

Dinosaur: DinoLand USA. If you are traveling with young children (or wimpy adults), this may be one to avoid. However, if you are seeking Jurassic sized thrills, definitely add DINOSAUR to your FastPass+ reservations Height restriction: must be 40 inches or taller.

Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain: Asia. This is probably the most popular attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom so it has some long wait times. Also, most of the queue is outside, so if you are vacationing the summer, this can be a really hot wait. Height Restriction: Must be 44 inches or taller.

Kilimanjaro Safari: Africa. Tink’s loves this attraction - bring your camera. If you race to the safari first thing in the morning, you have a good chance of a short stand-by time. But if you want to enjoy a breakfast at Tusker House, or wander around a little bit, definitely get a FastPass for this one.

Kali River Rapids: Asia. This is another ride where you probably will get wet -- maybe even completely soaked. Very popular ride, especially mid-day if it is hot. Height restriction: Must be 38 inches or taller. Animal Kingdom: Skip the FastPass!

Finding Nemo - The Musical: Dinoland. Don’t skip this show, but do skip the FastPass. You really don’t need one as the venue is large. Check your Times Guide and plan accordingly. You don’t want to get there right as a show is beginning and have to wait until the next show time.

Festival of the Lion King. DinoLand: Same comment as . Highly advise seeing this, but the venue is large so you won’t need to use up a FastPass for it.

Primeval Whirl: DinoLand: This is an attraction where you can risk not getting a FastPass and still have a good opportunity to almost walk right on. Lots of spinning so not for anyone with a weak stomach. Height Restriction: Must be 48 inches or taller.

Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost: Discovery Island. Generally the line to meet Mickey and Minnie are shorter here. Plan to meet characters when everyone else is eating lunch and you’ll have a much shorter wait time.

Tough to be a Bug! Discovery Island. Lines usually aren’t too bad. Some of our Tink’s kids despise this attraction as it is interactive, loud, smelly (really) and can be scary.

PAGE 8 OF 10 TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS WALT DISNEY WORLD: FASTPASS+ TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS

EPCOT: Book the FastPass!

Epcot has the tiered system. You have to choose 1 FastPass from Group A and then 2 FastPasses from Group B. Soarin’, , and the new are all in the first tier. Tink’s advice is to choose the Frozen Ever After since it is the newest ride at WDW so everyone will want to experience it. But if Anna and Elsa aren’t your thing, then go for Soarin’ or Test Track.

**************** Frozen Ever After: World Showcase in Norway. This ride opens on June 21st. It will be extremely popular as the newest ride in Epcot. Highly recommend grabbing a FastPass for this.

Soarin’: Future World. This ride is extremely popular and never has a short line. The new theme of the ride is “Soarin’ Around the World.” Imagine a flight above the Great Wall of China, a bird’s eye view of the Sydney Harbor Opera House, gliding around the Matterhorn in . There is a height requirement of 40 inches or taller.

Test Track: Future World. Same comment as Soarin’. This ride is hugely popular. Height requirement of 40 inches or taller.

Mission Space: Future World. Many of our Tink’s kids love it - some not so much. Dark and lots of spinning. If you want to check it out, grab a FastPass. Height requirement of 44 inches or taller.

EPCOT Character Spot: Future World. The Epcot character spot is a great chance to meet the Fab 5. Epcot Skip the FastPass!

The Seas with Nemo and Friends: Future World. This attraction doesn’t usually have a long wait. The lines tend to get shorter as the night goes on, so if you see a long wait, check back after dinner.

Living with : Future World. The attraction is definitely busiest around meal times, as people eating at Sunshine Terrace tend to fill up the stand-by queue. Try early in the morning or during mid-afternoon for your best chance at a short line.

PAGE 9 OF 10 TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS WALT DISNEY WORLD: FASTPASS+ TINK’S MAGICAL VACATIONS

Spaceship : Future World by the main entrance. Tink’s loves , but we don’t think that need to use one of your FastPasses for this. Check the stand-by time throughout the day and you are bound to catch it with a short wait.

Journey into Imagination with Figment. Lines don’t tend to be too long here.

Pixar Short Film. It is about a 20 minute movie. Lines aren’t expected to be too long. This is a great opportunity to be inside in air conditioning and rest your feet for awhile.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. This is an amazing 13-minute night-time spectacular on and above World Showcase Lagoon. You don’t need to use up a FastPass for this as it can be easily viewed from a variety of locations around the lagoon. Tink’s Tip: pay attention to the wind direction so you don’t have all the smoke blowing your way during the show.

Tink’s hopes that our FastPass advice is useful as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation. Have fun!
