Abstract Inocybe cavalcantiae is described based on morphological data from Pernambuco, Northeast Brazil. It is characterized by radially fibrillose/rimose pileus, narrow marginate bulb, nodulose basidiospores, lageniform to clavate metuloids pleurocystidia and versiform metuloids caulocystidia. The species is described, illustrated and compared with morphologically similar species. Key words – Agaricales – Agaricomycetes – Basidiomycota – Neotropic – taxonomy Introduction Inocybe (Fr.) Fr. sensu stricto (=Inocybe clade) is one of the seven clades of a strongly supported monophyletic group, on which they are recognized as the distinct genera Auritella Matheny & Bougher, Inosperma (Kühner) Matheny & Esteve-Rav., Mallocybe (Kuyper) Matheny, Vizzini & Esteve-Rav., Nothocybe Matheny & K.D.P. Latha, Pseudosperma Matheny & Esteve- Rav. and Tubariomyces Esteve-Rav. & Matheny (Latha & Manimohan 2017, Matheny & Bougher 2017, Matheny et al. 2020). Inocybe is recognized by brownish, small to medium sized basidiomes, fibrillose to squamulose pileus, an attached lamellae and brown spore print. This genus is infrequently inventoried in Brazil. Hibbett11 ABSTRACT Aim The ectomycorrhizal (ECM) mushroom family Inocybaceae is widespread in north temperate regions, but more than 150 species are encountered in the tropics and the Southern Hemisphere. The relative roles of recent and ancient biogeographical processes, relationships with plant hosts, and the timing of divergences that have shaped the current geographic distribution of the family are investigated. location Africa, Australia, Neotropics, New Zealand, north temperate zone, Palaeotropics, Southeast Asia, South America, south temperate zone. Methods We reconstruct a phylogeny of the Inocybaceae with a geological timeline using a relaxed molecular clock. Divergence dates of lineages are estimated statistically to test vicariance-based hypotheses concerning relatedness of disjunct ECM taxa. A series of internal maximum time constraints is used to evaluate two different calibrations. Ancestral state reconstruction is used to infer ancestral areas and ancestral plant partners of the family. Results The Palaeotropics are unique in containing representatives of all major clades of Inocybaceae. Six of the seven major clades diversified initially during the Cretaceous, with subsequent radiations probably during the early Palaeogene. Vicariance patterns cannot be rejected that involve area relationships for Africa- Australia, Africa-India and southern South America-Australia. Northern and southern South America, Australia and New Zealand are primarily the recipients of immigrant taxa during the Palaeogene or later. Angiosperms were the earliest hosts of Inocybaceae. -

It is characterized by the stout habit, a dark castaneous brown pileus covered with a whitish velipellis, a non-marginate bulbous stipe base, and smooth amygdaliform spores. A comparison of I. messapica with I. athenana and similar species is also provided. -

Tür daha önce İspanya ve İtalya’da saptanmış olduğundan mevcut çalışma ile Avrupa dışındaki varlığı ilk kez ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bazidiyomalar 12 Ekim 2018 tarihinde iki ayrı topluluk halinde Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi yerleşkesi içerisindeki çamlık alanda saptanmıştır. Teşhis morfolojik yöntemlere göre yapılmıştır. Kurutulmuş mantar örnekleri Trabzon Üniversitesi Fatih Eğitim Fakültesi’ndeki kişisel fungaryumda saklanmaktadır. In this study, the basidiomata of I. grammatoides were collected first time in Turkey and this taxon has been determined as a new record for the Turkish Mycota. Since the species was previously identified in Spain and Italy, its existence outside of Europe was revealed for the first time with the current study. -

Morphological and molecular data show that these species have not been described before, hence need to be described as new. The phylogenetic placements of these species were inferred, based on molecular evidence from sequences of 28S and RPB2. Additional analysis using ITS dataset shows interspecific variation between each species. Phylogenetic analyses resolve I. flavobrunneum in Old World Tropical clade 1 with weak support, I. -

Descripción macroscópica: Sombrero de 5-7 cm de diámetro, de hemisférico a cónico convexo y finalmente aplanado, con umbón central, margen apendicula- do. Cutícula fibrillosa radialmente, rimosa, de color blanquecino que va enrojeciendo con la edad. Láminas adnadas, blanquecinas que van enrojeciendo, arista sinuosa. Pie de 4-5 x 1-1,3 cm, macizo, cilíndrico, ligeramente engrosado en la base, de color blanque- cino con tonos rosados. Olor agradable afrutado en ejemplares jóvenes que se va volviendo espermático. Enrojece al aire y a la presión. Descripción microscópica: Basidios claviformes, tretraspóricos, con fíbula basal, de (34,3-)36,2-49,8(-53,9) x (9,1-)10,5-13,2(-13,7) µm; N = 10; Me = 44,0 x 11,6 µm. Basidiosporas ovoidales, de paredes gruesas, lisas, hialinas, apiculadas, de (9,0-)10,3-12,4(-13,8) x (5,2-)6,3-7,5(-7,9) µm; Q = (1,4-)1,5-1,8(-2,0); N = 75; Me = 11,5 x 6,9 µm; Qe = 1,7. Queilocistidios claviformes, algunos digitados o capitados, de (30,3-)34,4-57,3(-69,5) x (8,2-)10,2-13,8(-15,3) µm; N = 15; Me = 45,8 x 11,8 µm.
