4 OCTOBER 2019 THE EVANGELIST The Priceless Corner We have set aside this corner of The Evangelist to show God’s Plan of Salvation. If you are unsure where you will go when you die, please listen to what God has said in His Word:

1. GOD LOVES YOU! “For God so loved the world that he gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life” (Jn. 3:16). 2. MAN IS A SINNER, AND SIN HAS SEPARATED HIM FROM GOD “For there is not a just man upon Earth, that doeth good and I REMEMBER THE first time I uttered the sinneth not” (Eccl. 7:20). “For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God” (Rom. words, “How to live for God.” I made the 3:23). 3. JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY REMEDY FOR SIN statement on a Wednesday night Bible study “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God ...” (I Pet. 3:18). “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other that the church does not know how to live for name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). God. You see, as the church goes, so goes the 4. YOU MUST RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOUR Jesus calls this experience the new birth. He told Nicodemus: nation. In town after WE BELIEVE: town, the bars, joints, and saloons closed up because of no clientele; so many • The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God (Ps. 119; Mat. 4:4; Lk. 24:27). had given their hearts to God. • There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (I Jn. 5:7). • In the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Virgin Birth, in His Methodists Sinless Life, in His Miracles, in His Vicarious and atoning Death, A man heard about the great Cane Ridge Revival that was going on. Drunk, in His Bodily Resurrection, in His Ascension to the Right Hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this Earth in Power he got on his horse, and said, “I’m going to go put that thing out of business.” and Glory to rule a thousand years (Jn. 1:1-4; Eph. 2:13-18; Rev., Thousands of people were out in the woods because they had no building big Chpts. 19-20). • In the Blessed Hope — the Rapture of the Church at Christ’s enough to seat all those there worshipping God, and this poor man thought he Coming (I Thess. 4:13-18). was somehow going to go stop it. But it wasn’t a water fall, it was thousands of people praising God. • Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for per- Before he knew it, the power of God knocked him off of his horse, and he lay sonal Salvation (Jn. 3:5-8; Titus 3:5). • The Redemptive Work of Christ on the Cross provides Healing there, flat on the ground. As the church goes, so goes the nation. The Word of God says, “If my people, • In the Sanctifying Power of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life (Rom. 6:3-14; 8:1-2, 11). which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, • In the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the one to and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive Everlasting Life and the other to everlasting damnation (Rev. 20:5-6, 11-15). their sin, and will heal their land” (II Chron. 7:14). PRAY THIS PRAYER AND MEAN IT WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART: Let’s look at this diagram for a moment: “Dear Lord Jesus, I now realize that I am a sinner. I accept the fact that You died for me on the rugged Cross of Calvary. I now open my heart’s door and receive You as Saviour and Lord of my How to live for God: life. Bible Outreach to the Military I would like to thank you for sending Bibles to my military children. One of them, my non-believing son stationed in Syria, has read and related to me how much he appreciated the translations under the verses. I think your Bible may have saved his soul. He and I always had long conversations about Christ and the church. He never believed. During his deployment, he was constantly sending me questions on verses that he was struggling to understand. I did my best to answer, but with your Bible and the explanations, it has really turned him around. I pray his quest for understanding will continue. Your ministry and the military Bibles have given me an extra pathway to bring my son to our Lord. Bless you and thank you. I am still waiting to hear of any impact on my other son in Army Airborne that you also sent a Bible to. Bless you and please continue this valuable ministry for our U.S. Armed Forces. —Delaware
