The Committee would like to thank all the volunteers, The shop would not run without you. Well done and long may this last. Things have been going really well in the shop. The till is starting to behave itself! I’m sure its a reincarnation of Arkwrights’ till in Open All Hours!! We have increased our stock and we are trying new products, Pakenham Mill Flour and Yum Yum Tree fudge being just two of them. We have increased our fruit and veg range. We are trying to get a little of everything you would need on a day to day basis. We are keeping our prices competitive and are more often than not the same price if not a little cheaper than the supermarket. Most of our products are bought in already “Price Marked,” so they are the same as the big shops. The Committee have been looking at FREE FROM foods and currently found a supplier that has a good range of these, so if you have any requests, pop in the shop this week and let one of your volunteers know and we’ll do our best to get it in stock. Those of you who are fairly up on the technology will have noticed that the website has disappeared. It’s gone for a refurbishment and will be up and running in the very near future. I do try to keep you up to date with Facebook and its lovely to see you all respond. If you think you’d like to help The Village Store, there are several ways you can do this. One is to volunteer some time and help in the store, or you can pick up a prospectus from the Store and take it away and read it and see if that is the way for you. Both Volunteer forms and prospectuses are available in the Store . Looking forward to seeing you there.
